Not trying to contradict you, but on TV here I often hear them say Barclay's English Premier League. But of course it's most often referred to as the EPL. Bottom line is regardless of what the league is called, the sponsor's name will not be avoided. Holland's league has a cool name in my opinion- Casino Eredivisie.
Its more money for the league and the last time I check betting was all fine and legal in many parts of europe so a big thank you to BetandWin for their support. I was looking for to place a few bets anyway and I'd rather do it with a firm that pumps money into Portugal instead of some other country.
I noticed a couple of days ago when I visited the Liga betandwin.com's official website that the color scheme was different than the orange of last year. And where the team logos are located on the top it said Superliga instead of Superliga Galp Energia now that I think about it. Now it has the offical name, Liga betandwin.com, and the color schemes that go with it. Liga betandwin.com
is this really a bad thing? Outside sponsors sponsoring our league? maybe they can push the league to get more exposure outside of portugal so there can be more betting and winning. And more money for the league? Why is this a bad thing if it's a legitimate company that sponsors our team.
The quality of play is excellent. Getting better and better and is ranked as one of the top 5 or 6 leagues in Europe. I think people's main concern is the reputation of corruption that already exists - mixed with betandwin.com and other assumptions will arise.
?? What do you mean? The Serie A still has respect though, what are you talking about? Oh I see what you were trying to do. Portuguese SuperLiga Quality > Serie A Catenaccio
Enough so that 2 weeks back they didn't even know if they could have a league. I think they should get coefficients taken off for everytime a scandal pops up in Italy. If anyone here thinks Portugal is bad, just go look at how many scandals there are in Italy.
You ask any quality player where they want to go and they will say EPL or La Liga. Serie A is a dying animal, that the vet has forgot to put down.
We get three, but i wasn't compairing the SL with Serie A. What i was saying if you take one minute to read is that EPL and La Liga are more attractive leagues than the Italian. Face it EPL is the n1 league in the world.
Portugal could get 4 CL teams as well. All we have to do is get our teams to borrow Millions and Millions of Euros from the bank and just buy players with the money we don't have to gain an unfair advantage over other leagues who keep their finances balanced. After a couple of years just declare bankruptcy and start the cycle all over. This way, our league would be the most competitive in europe too...
Players are prostitutes. They will to go what ever league is paying the most for their services. At one point it was the Italian league, the Spanish league took a run at it and now it is EPL that are spending the most money. I dont know why people look at this with some form of pride Its not like that nation has the best players because they are developing them. They are just buying them. Hell, if Canada offered the most money, they would come hear too.
...and this has what to do with the name of the Portuguese league? How's this - bring a valid point to the thread or bring nothing at all. Seeing as you are a Udinese fan, I expect to see your posts next Tuesday for a reason, but until then, if you have nothing better to say, then don't say anything at all...
Here is a story on this fiasco in Yahoo sports: http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=reu-portugalsponsor&prov=reuters&type=lgns Yup, some real positive press our league is getting from all of this
"Honestly, I don't know how BETandWIN works. I know it was a business that appeared and offered us funds that we agreed to," he told reporters. Valentim Loureiro should not be allowed to speak to reporters anymore.
