if something is posted in multiple sections by the same person, isn't it considered spam and therefore against the board's rules?

5 days until bryan's mod status is revoked. who wants to take the over/under?

Maybe just a normal average font would help too.

I know, I know.... "I'm in Jersey, I have to be different"

Now wait just a **** ******** ****ing minute, there, SOOPER HOT SHOT!
The font that I CHOOSE to use of my own free will in a democratically-based republic has absolutely nothing whatsoever at all in the very least to do w/ the glorious state of my residence.
I format the font of all my posts to be "Franklin Gothic" in honor of our patron saint and because of its scientifically-demonstrated superiority of legibility. I have even suggested to Bryan that we make this the 'default' font of the Philly Phorum in recognition of Ben, for whom the font was named.
PS - I have heretofore conducted MOST of this discourse via PM and private e-mail, but since you queried in public, I responded in kind, so now it's 'out there' for ALL to blast!
PPS - NEWS FLASH!! Before finally posting this reply, I went on-line to ascertain positively that THIS FONT actually is named after Ben, and guess what I discovered? It IS NOT Franklin Gothic, which is a sans serif typeface, NOT a Roman face like this one! Now, upon reflection, this font appears more to be a Times New Roman or a Caslon face - somebody better research the source of these fonts!!

    I invite you to

    1. Not flame the mods
    2. Change the font back to the standard font everyone posts with

    1) I hold ALL of the Mods in the highest regard and esteem, with one notable (if, indeed, you may call that particular Mod Newbie "notable") exception, and
    2) I humbly decline the offer of your invitation because of the superior legibility of Roman typefaces which I explained to Prima Facie in
my previous post, and to you on other venues numerous times past. ;)
PS (again) - THIS typeface APPEARS to be the same as "CENTURY Gothic", w/ only the name being changed, to protect the innocent (insolent?).

Re: Philadelphia Forum FAQ and Guidelines

VERY Cute!! What is this, a MOD's version of the old "How to Keep a Pollack/Italian/Mexican/Blonde/etc Busy All Day" joke?

Thank God, normal font... Much more readable.

"Clearly, All your base are belong to us."

Anybody care to explain what this is? An inside joke that I'm not in on? Maybe something from a TV show or movie I haven't seen? I heard a guy screaming "all your base are belong to us" on the subway last year after a Phillies game & just assumed he was drunk. Clearly, I assumed wrong.

Thanks for the elaborate explanations that I feel are coming :)

I don't do video games. That explains it. I understand the genesis of it, just don't see the lasting humor in it. Different strokes for different folks...

Kindly take it to the "Off Topic" thread that Bryan so thoughtfully started for us!
