The new kit has been officially revealed this afternoon, ahead of this evenings friendly at Tiverton Town where it will be worn for the first time. The shirt does appear to be the same one as that worn at the recent Mersey Masters tournament, with the addition of the new sponsors, wonga.com I must admit that whilst I like the shirt, the sponsors logo is something I will have to get used to. Last season Carbrini as sponsors (they also make the shirt and have continued to do so), was just the sponsors name without the background. The ethics of having a money lender as sponsors I will leave, especially as Blackpool is a low income area. But it has caused something of a backlash already with many fans criticising the decision to use wonga.
I am never a huge fan of the big block sponsor's thing that always says Look at me. That said, it is hard to make Blackpool's home kit look bad in my opinion.
