The Via del Mare stadium of Lecce is getting a 36 million dollar upgrade for the Mediterranean games. The work will include a roof that covers all the seating.
Como has almost completed minor upgrades to get their current stadium up to Serie A minimum standards. New stadium is still possibly on the horizon. https://www.calcioefinanza.it/2024/08/24/stadio-nuovo-como-sinigaglia-hartono/
This seems as good of a place as any, so I figure I will ask. What is behind the 3 levels of windows in the San Siro towers? Those portholes way up in the sky. Are those bars with views of the pitch? Snack bars? just a general area of the concourse? I've always wondered (only taken an official tour, next time in Milan I will attend a match), ever since I started watching Serie A in college on GoalTV here in the states after the bars closed.
It says the owner of Gewiss is the Stadio Atalanta S.r.l. SRL means Società a responsabilità limitata or LLC in English: An Italian legal corporate entity that translates to "limited liability company". It's one of the most common types of companies in Italy. SRLs are similar to limited partnerships, as they allow for flexible allocations of profits and assets. Do you know if this stadium belongs solely to the club or does the city of Bergamo own it?
Bergamo has no stake in the stadium, it’s the same owners who have the majority stake in Atalanta, they just formed a different entity that owns the stadium. Very common for owners to do this.
