This is one of the funniest things I've read in quite some time!!! http://onthesidelines.org/ian030904.htm
Nice one, Mr. P! I wondered what that loud thump was that night. Our wee one must have caromed off our rooftop in Richmond's North Side on his way back to City Stadium. Welcome home, Richie!
Good show Mr. Plenderlaith. After all the trouble and turmoil and delay of the off season, I really got a good laugh out of your article. Thanks, I needed that!
Amusing. But if I were Plenderleith, I'd spend many a day being wary of a singularly vicious wee man dressed as a schoolboy who might just be dead set on reaching up to use Ian's testes for punching bags.
I remember that evening on the patio. My son looked up, pointed, and said: IT'S A BIRD! IT'S A PLANE! IT'S...A FLYING, OBSCENITY-SPOUTING MIDGET!!! Later, my wife--who'd been napping upstairs, next to the window--came down, yawned, and said: "It's the darndest thing...I was laying in bed, dozing off, and I dreamed Joe Pesci was an angel flying outside the room. He had a message, and his message was--the A-League ain't so bad." "It's a miracle, honey," I said. And then we rested.
