Soccer America is reporting David Dir as one of two remaining "serious" candidates for the vacant Carolina Courage coaching job.

He did previously coach the Colorado Foxes. :)

For some odd reason, if Dir became head coach, I think I would make more of an effort to head up there and watch the Courage play.

If he gets the job, I bet he does just fine.

Wonder if he'll get another shot at coaching in MLS.

maybe at expansion time - God willing.

What a strange coincidence. I start pulling for the Courage last season and a year later, the former coach of my favorite men's soccer team might coach for them.

It's just a part-time job to help support his broadcasting career.

I thought the part-time gig was as GK coach to the U-20s?
