Okay, I think the thread for accumulating suggestions has gone untouched for long enough. Above are six suggestions that got positive replies from others. Unfortunately, six is the most we can put in our poll for the vote ( ) any more.

Personally, I love Beerking's suggestion because it's true, it's timeless, and won't need to be changed based on our team's performance. But I have to vote for Blue World Order!, as suggested by Supersport, since it's in my .sig.

And no "blingin'". Sorry, 'tis not the NBA.

PS--this poll will self-destruct in seven (7) days from right now...approx. 12:30 PM on 11/21. You have until then to vote.

50:50 for the best beers vs Blue World Order.

Guess which way I voted ;-).

I think Mike's on the right track. We could combine those two into:

    BREW WORLD ORDER!

I voted for Blue World Order.

In my opinion, "Rumblings From Down Under" suggests farts. That may have applied to the team at the end of the season. But let's not trying to jinx things for next season! :D

Wait a minute...couldn't "Rumblings from Down Under" also serve to honor our departed comrade babytiger2001, who now rumbles from "Down Under"?

I'm amazed there isn't a groundswell of write-in support for "Yves be praised"...

I voted for BK's "our stadium has the best beers," but "Brew World Order" is a good one.

I guess we could combine them if they tie. "Brew World Order: Our Stadium Has the Best Beers."

But I really don't want to do another poll...we could keep cycling forever because all the creative folks around here will constantly come up with good new ones.

Beerking's suggestion is cool. I think if it was paraphrased to "SJ Earthquakes: Stadium with the best beers", it would sound a little sharper. But that's just me.

It already says San Jose Earthquakes in the link to the forum though.

I'll go with the California's first winning MLS....blah blah blah...it's true, catchy and STABS LA in the back.

No, the site won't let me vote.

    Best beer gets my vote.

I like it too and for much the same reasons. LA cannot be stabbed too many times, front, back, side, and all places in between.

That brings to mind some really bad images.

I knew someone who was stabbed to death in the Los Angeles area. :(

Maybe it's just me ... and it probably is ... but Rumblings from Down Under? Am I missing something? What does Down Under have to do with Sydney, I mean San Jose?

    My votes:
    1. Californai's FIRST Cup winning team
    2. Blue World Order.

    both quality choices.

I think we all know someone that was stabbed in the LA area (maybe not to death though)...sorry.

You'd have to ask Quake Attack, because he could be referring to the indigestion he receives from Spartan food, but I think he's talking about rumblings from down under the ground...you know, earthquakes. Although I do often have rumblings from down under the day after a match at Spartan...
It's funny, and I won't bitch if it wins, but I think it makes us sound petty and juvenile. Oh, wait. When it comes to dealing with LA, many of us are.

Maybe we should have a runoff of the top two or three candidates in a followup poll after this one is closed. That will also allow us to make minor modifications to the taglines (e.g. remove the "SJ Earthquakes" from the "best beers" entry since the forum name already says "San Jose Earthquakes").

I disagree. Let's get it done with. If the beers one wins, let's just exclude the "San Jose Earthquakes" part.
