I hope not. Drone incursion over Ft McNair has been an issue for years, and there have been plenty of senior officials living on general's row for decades (although it is relatively new to have so many cabinet officials living there at the same time), so they are experienced with this and it shouldnt affect parking itself.
International callups for this window: Baribo for Israel, Peltola for Finland, Rowles for Australia (a very late call up at that, as it was announced today), Hopkins for US U-21, Avilez for US U-16.
I was bummed to see that- I've watched him play many games for USL2 side FC Ballard which he helped lead to the national championship game, and UW, which he helped lead to the national championship. He's a gifted left wing who takes on players relentlessly and without fear, resulting in defensive collapse around him then he squirts a ball to a striker in the box who has extra space. He would be a perfect fit with Baribo and a candidate to replace Peglow. We need him. But I guess they don't see his game elevating enough or something.
How much longer does Peglow's contract run? If any time this year, you may want to play him a lot and show that he's good, which will up the price for him. Then bring in Aman.
And you think if DC plays him, he's capable of showing that he's good? I only ask because he's been sharpied into the lineup for well over a year and he's never looked any better than steamed abortion over rice.
Yes that's my point. The team sees to estimate Peglow is more valuable than he actually is; and undervalue Aman's value. In my humble opinion it's pretty clear. I mean sure there's an adjustment that Aman would need just like any rookie. But he's not going to fill this role by playing USL games. Look how slow they took Gavin Turner. Would hate for that to happen.
I agree! I'm just pointing out that for every minute that Peglow plays for United, his value on the market goes down.
That's the Pirani Principle. And the Adu Principle. And so many others that have appeared in black and red.
Loaning Aman out isn't that bad at all. Assuming he gets real minutes in Loudoun, he will continue to develop and he's playing and practicing quite near DCU's facilities out there. I would prefer him getting minutes in Loudoun to sitting on the bench at DCU. Right now Weiler considers Turner ahead on the depth chart and both Turner and Aman are behind Clark. I'm assuming that Weiler was not impressed with Aman's defense and right now that is the most important attribute for a DCU player -- and why Peglow is on thin ice out there.
That was and is the entire Adu experience. He had the tools, he just didn't have the head to use them consistently.
Plus, it gives me a chance to actually watch a UW player I like (and someone on Loudoun I recognize; boy did they dismantle a perfectly good team over there...) - I always feel it's good for college defenders to be loaned to a USL team for a but to get in some good habits - I rarely find it to be a knock on the player.
Apparently there’s no funding for Levien’s Baltimore fantasy in the current legislative session. Friendly reminder that it’s been almost 7 months since Levien promised an MLS Next Pro team announcement “in the next 48 hours” to season ticket members.
Well if you believe in a multiverse of parallel universes, I'm sure that announcement occurred in one of them by now.
