In case you haven't heard, you can put results in a post, but they'll be hidden unless the viewer highlights the "invisible" part of the post. To do this use the following code [ result] US Wins Big [/ result], but without the space before the word result.

    Here's an example,
    [result]Made You Look[/result]

Yeah - you ought to put an [R] in the title. Folks'll still forget and people will still get annoyed.

[result]this is the lamest thing ever, isn't the "R" in the thread title good enough?? People who post match results without an "R" aren't going to use this anyways.[/result]

Dueteriumoxide, I think its for non game threads where people want to talk about a recent result, without spoiling it. For example, in this forum, assuimg Armas played against Poland, someone might want to talk about the game in "Fans for Mulrooney over Armas". This would allow them to do so, without revealing the results to people who want to watch it on tape.

But wouldn't they still be able to tell from the context? If not, it would look like this...

Man, Mulrooney really [result]sucked[/result] today. Why didn't [result]Pablo[/result] play? He's doesn't completely [result]blow[/result] like that little [result]schoolgirl[/result] Mulrooney? Of course, his [result]suckiness[/result] was not shocking as when Balboa [result]disemboweled[/result] Rob Stone [result]with a blunt ax[/result] in the booth in the [result]85th[/result] minute?

Well technicly saying a player sucked in a game doesnt violate the R. Its game results. Second, its not perfect, you actually have to put some thought into using it so as not to give away anything telling.

    For example:

I hate Convey in the central midfield. He cant play the position at all. In the US-Monaco game:
[result]He played like crap, and if he were any good we would have won 6-0 instead of 2-0. Couldnt switch the field of play, couldnt complete a pass over 10 feet to save his life. And he blew that sitter in the 23rd minute. The goal in the 45th was pure luck.[/result]

You know im not going to be very positive, but could you honestly infer what would happen in the hypothetical game before highlighting that based on the context oustide the result tag?

To remain on the side of caution, the [R] will still be required.

But I would encourage frequent use of the new results feature, anyway.
