I was quite surprised to read this: http://slate.msn.com/id/2078876/ The writer cites some polls: http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L30567527 http://abcnews.go.com/wire/World/ap20030213_1516.html http://www.eubusiness.com/cgi-bin/item.cgi?id=103745&d=101&h=240&f=56&dateformat=%o %B %Y 1,2,3,4, they don't want our oil war, either. In one way, I was happy to read the Slate piece. Because it taught me that no matter how unanimous pundits' support for a piece of conventional wisdom is, or how logical it may seem (like the hawks' fairy tale that those who lived under Communist domination have the first hand experience necessary to see how evil Saddam is, and want to fight a war to oust him), that there's still a pretty good chance it's a huge lie. See, I still have some happy illusions left!! But then, the article was still another reminder that our media are lying to us every day to sell this war. 1,2,3,4, don't you heed the media whore 2,4,6,8, all they do is prevaricate
Where do I fit? I dont wear lederhosen, cant play the accordian, can't be arsed with Hader, and would be much happier if the Cheeky Girls vanished.
IT's OK - your leader supports the war. That means Great Britain is a shining beacon of progressive, new Europe. We're in! Look - our own coatpeg!
Amen; So Mot it Be... Rumsfeld ("Old Europe" commentator) isn't listening, and isn't reading. Well, he isn't listening and/or reading anything that isn't laid before him by sycophants. That's why he feels that he can say some of the things he does, and why he will continue to do so. This article is preaching to the choir.
ewww! Middle aged! And not even out of Uni! ************! I prefer to think i represent the synical side of Europe Oh, and Matt, I want more than just a coatpeg. I want somewhere to put me hat...
