Hope some of our players remember which team they are playing for and do not pass the ball to their former team mates.
Bruce has mentioned this game and seems annoyed that it was scheduled. Plus they’re tilting the scales against him by making it a cross-country trip on 3 days rest.
Yeah, he owes us a few. I listened to a Tectonic Takes episode and they had a NE guy on there. The Beas(t) has won a spot in their new 3-man back line, and they seem to be fine with him. Yueill has been relegated to the bench and as a "free kick specialist" (really?), and is not playing much. With the injuries to Chicho and Rodrigues, the long flight on short rest, this is gonna be a tough one. I assume the back line will be Flioriani-Munie-Romney, and we still have Roberts for Tuesday but not sure who he would be paired with. I suppose it's possible that Wislon Eisner gets a start. He's been playing CB for The Town. There's also Cano.

Pretty brutal schedule - travel the day after a big game - pretty much full day of travel, one day of training and game next day against a week-rested team. Fly home next day (?), one day of training and USOC game.
Arango out 2-3 weeks Per sources: Cristian “Chicho” Arango has a left hamstring injury that will sideline the Colombian striker for at least 2–3 weeks.Chicho has been on a tear this year with nine goals in MLS and is one of the main reasons Arena’s Quakes have been so lethal. Josef Martínez will… pic.twitter.com/00Q8ROccdq— Favian Renkel (@FavianRenkel) May 15, 2025
He will be missed. This will be a tough game for the Quakes. With a mid-week game with a lot of emotion to flying across country and missing your lead goal scorer. If I was Bruce, I may be conservative and give anyone with a knock a rest. Anyone know what is up with Wilson? I still don't think Henan is ready for more than just a sub role, but may get more minutes to just get some playing time.

This is my perfect afternoon. I'm going to bake sourdough discard banana bread and then sit back to play some guitar (maybe the Taylor or Waterloo - seems like a mahogany sort of day...) and watch the Flamingos at 3:00 and then the Quakes game at 6:30 local.

Between the injuries, short turnaround (NE is on a full week’s rest), long travel, and in-form NE, the deck is kind of stacked against the Quakes. Not expecting a great performance but happy to be surprised.
