The pleas have been heard...
You'll have to read the whole thing yourself, but there's some great stuff:
LOL. The bazooka referance is so spot on that I was forced to use the term spot on!
I am also a proud owner of a cork from said champaign celebration. One of my most prized possesions! (As pitiful as that may sound to some, it makes me happy - thanks Peter!).
We still need that Gerry guy to teach section 8 that one song that they sang before we got kicked out of Bazookas.
Jimmaugh is hilarious. Hooter's training ground indeed.
The chant went (as I recall):
We're all part of Dave's Army,
We're all out to win the league!
And we'll really shake 'em up when we win the [expletive deleted] Cup,
Because Chicago has the greatest soccer team!
<--- I also have a cork, PW is the most badass guy ever.
I have one too, it's stiining next to the gloves i got from zach in KC on top of my tv.
Oh, I know it, though I 'm sure Ger could teach it better. It's pretty simple:
"We're all part of Davey's Army
We're all out to win the league
And we've really shook them up
Cause we won the Open Cup
And the Fire are the greatest football team"
You can merge into "Fi-yur, Fi-yur" from the end of that too.
Ok, that works too! heh
WOW, that is awesome! Could you imagine a thousand people singing that at Soldier Field.
It's impressive with about 20 people, some DC folks came up earlier this year and they were using it.
But with Hudson, not Dave. And they hadn't won anything. But they did beat the Metrostars that day, which was really nice.
