The second one reminds me of the old Galaxy logo for some reason... I say just update the classic. Tweak the font and ball. That should be enough of a change. Or, if the Mets are involved, change the color scheme from fake-Brazil to the Mets' colors. That would not look bad at all, IMHO. But it'd go over with Cosmos fans like an orgy at a daycare.
