Since I am up and leaving my job soon I had to return my 21" computer monitor back to my office...so I am searching around for one to purchase for myself. Right now I have a 17" and it just doesn't do the job at that size.

Anyone have an recomendations for a on-line site or store that has monitors are pretty cheap prices? I have not even begun to look but hell, it's been probably 5 years since I last purchased a monitor and I don't have a clue where to start.

There's no reason to look anywhere else. ;)

21" CRT monitors run between $300-400.

I love newegg, but I've found they don't often have the best prices on monitors.

Are you looking to get an LCD or a 'regular' CRT style monitor?

If you've got the money, the Dell UltraSharp 2001FP is suppossed to be very nice.

I am looking for a CRT, no need for a more expensive LCD for my junk.

I used to use a 21" ViewSonic P810 and liked it a lot.

I wouldn't mind the same one if the price is right...

Maximum PC is pretty fond of the 19" models from Sony, NEC, and ViewSonic.

    Fid,

You might want to check the classifieds also. Is Powell near a big city?

You might be able to find a nice used monitor. As LCD screens have come in vogue, the old 21" CRT monitors have to go somewhere.

Let us know how it turns out. I gave my second monitor to my sister, and I'm looking to replace it.

Keira can't be contained by a 17-inch screen, apparently.

I dont have a link or specific site, but "BENQ" monitors were recomended to me for quality and for cheap price. I have been pleased with them..

You probably already got your monitor.. but, might as well post this if others are interested.

    Bought a refurbished 21" Dell D1626HT for $169 (+ $49.99 S/H from CA to NC) from http://www.monitoronsale.com

That's $219 in total, maybe cheaper if you are in/around CA. Not too shabby me thinks.
