Well, it's only a demo CD of the last release Yoko but I know there are a few Beulah fans on these boards that might be interested. I think it is only available via their website.

It's an acoustic demo they did of Yoko on 4 & 8 track recorders. I've never fallen in love with Yoko but I'm interested in hearing what the tunes sound like after they've been stripped down. So, I sent them a check for it.

Has anyone heard it yet? If so, what did you think of it?

By the way, there are new tour dates up on their website also.

Well, I received my copy of Demo and have listened to it a few times. I like it but I also dig lo-fi acoustic stuff in general. The hooks are certainly more noticeable on Demo than on Yoko which is also why I'm enjoying it. "Hovering" is particularly great with some nifty and balanced work between the acoustic guitar and trumpet.

Basically, if you love Beulah, you'd probably enjoy it but it isn't something I'd recommend to someone that is just developing an interest in them.
