What has happened to Marko Vejinovic. Had a good season with Vitesse,moves to Feyenoord and no game time. Should go out on loan back to Vitesse.
I believe he is simply not preferred to El Ahmadi, Vilhena, and even Tapia.. the only match in the eredivisie he got a start (and played 90) was Feyenoords only loss (don't read too much into that though!).
Okay, that didnot go well in Arnhem. It was a bridge too far for the players asked to fill in for the missing players. They should have taken the opportunity to show themselves, but failed to do so. Preparations for a summer clean up sale should be activated.

The same can be asked about Simon Gustafson. He played very well and suddenly was out of the picture. Since then he only played a few matches to replace regular players but failed to impress in those occasions. He can't have forgotten how to play football as he has shown what he's capable of. So I wonder what's going on with him. He still is young but should by now be capable of stepping in and fill in the gap when needed.
This weekend: Feyenoord meets sunday 05-02-2017 14:30 FC Twente away Ajax 05 februari 2017 Roda JC 14:30 away and PSV saturday 04 februari AZ 19:45 away Both will hope Twente cuts some points of their deficit, but PSV has to make sure they donot waste points in Alkmaar this weekend and that's easier said than done. Ajax has a lull weekend.
According to most predictions Kuijt will be on the bench this FC Twente match. If Feyenoord goes into the match vigorously from the kick off, there should be no problem. The Twente defense doesnot show much reliability and their attack, well .. That ManCity bloke started off scoring much, but by now it seems the coaches and defenders have sounded out how to curb him and he's running on empty now. If our midfield takes control it will require a lucky punch of Twente to get a result against us.
Twente didnt get the memo that teams are supposed to just roll over so we can win this league.. Lucky not to have conceded on the counters, some weird refereeing. I always find it strange that for so many seasons under different coaches we were so incredibly poor at defending corners and free kicks, and this season we havent conceded even once from them apperently. Ought to check wether we just concede so much fewer freekicks and corners than we used to. Especially Immers had a knack for conceding stupid freekicks in dangerous places.. And 2 experiences CB's for a change helps.. vd Heijden has been much better than at the start of the season.
Twente played tough at home, but Feyenoord's relentless offense finally paid off. They had 19 shots with 7 on target. Starting lineup was: Jones Karsdorp, Botteghin, van der Heijden, Kongolo El Ahmadi, Vilhena Kuyt Berghuis, Jorgensen, Elia. Toornstra came on around minute 60 for Kuyt and Basacikoglu for Elia after Eljero had set up Botteghin for the 0-1 goal. Berghuis sent Jorgensen away down the right side where he beat the goalkeeper on the near side with a powerful shot for the 0-2. I think we may have third place sewed up at this point.
Funny, I read De Telegraaf etc. writing that PSV and Ajax keep the pressure on Feyenoord. Given how these two play at the moment, very poorly, I would turn it the other way around. Feyenoord keeps the pressure on them with the notion that one slip is fatal now. Feyenoord after the 7 match itch was unbeaten until Go Ahead. Since then we are again unbeaten (talking about the league only) and are far more convincing than the other two.

Well, we have rubbed some "lucky ajax dust" on the team as a lucky punch of Groningen could have made things much harder. I think to remember in the Dutch forum critique on the quality of Jan Arie's technical capabilities. I thought he was quite comfortable to samba his way in the Groningen defense on the second goal.
Conflict between Kramer and the coaching staff, as he refused to participate in a training excercise after the Groningen match. He seems to be banned from the selection for a week. What's the matter with him? He has a chance to become champion, something boat loads of players with bigger qualities in the Eredivisie than he has never will experience, and has been contributing so far with important goals. Those training sessions are ment to keep the reserve players in optimum condition too as the players that get match actions. Feyenoord breakes down the opponents, as these arenot capable to keep track for the whole match and are physically drained after 60-70 minutes. Feyenoord thus far has 13 matches with a clean sheet and 6 matches with only one goal conceded. The scoring ratio is 2.64 goals a match. If they can keep this up defensively and scoring wise it is impossible to not become champions.

This weekend however they will have a tough opponent just after a Thursday match.
We know from his behavoir on the field that Kramer can be a prick tbh. Not suprised he might be outside either, he never seems to get in the news with any positive comments from himself that I remember either. Just moaning about lack of playtime, he also one time said something like that he actually doesnt really enjoy football and that its just a job for him. Which is a shame, because he can be useful when played to his strengths and he can and has scored important goals for us.
Toornstra should be called with NT next games, always liked this player, especially when he is playing in the center.
According to "Elf", J de Guzman would like to return to Feyenoord. That rumour started already around december the 2nd 2016 with people claiming he would be moving to de Kuip in the winterstop. Well, that didnot happen. Question is, do we want that? I, for sure donot want it. The way he left Feyenoord still gives me a bad taste in my mouth because of the ungreatfullnes towards the club it showed. The return of the prodigal son isnot something to be practiced at Feyenoord. Once a choice is made like he did, it to me means that our colours never ever more be worn again.
