Never heard a sweeter sounding word than Feyenoord part 2

Discussion in 'The Netherlands' started by feyenoordsoccerfan, Jun 4, 2012.

  1. Kongolo off with what looks like a hamstring. Not good with van Beek not back yet.
Still not worried, because Ajax only gained points by the opponent not killing them. AZ tosay should have a lead of 3-0 after 20 minutes. This luck once runs out.

apparently elvis Manu has confirmed he wants to return to Feyenoord if they come to his aid after failing to make his mark in the championship for Brighton & Hove Albion . if berhguis loan is not made permanent , I think Manu could be worth bringing back.

I think BD is anticipating the penalty that Veltman will concede the next time Ajax and Feyenoord play.;)

Any news on the fitness of Kongolo and Karsdorp?

Karsdorp should be back for this weekends game, but hopefully he gets some extra rest for Manu next week. Kongolo should be out for another couple of weeks atleast.
Players who had minor issues before the intl period- Brad Jones, Jorgensen en possibly El Ahmadi should all be ready for this weekend again. Good news there.

Feyenoord will also send some delegates to Manchester for some community work together with their foundation, to demonstrate that despite being enemies on the field, we should all be nice outside it.

(with the added benefit to preemptively distance the club from any possible trouble caused by supporters ofcourse)

Amazing gesture with Vilenha in the last game at the stadium. The kid is strong, if he continues that way, I know he is not quite talented at the end but he will be a very useful player I believe. He has really good attaking defense balance, and he is tireless, same as Klassen but I prefer Vilhena for sure.
    Let's see

  11. Yep, as was the case at Go Ahead Eagles!

He has a good touch on the ball, Klaassen doesn't. No comparison.

Those were too wonderful goals by Toornstra and el Ahmadi vs Zwolle.
Really cant understand why Toornstra is not starting.

    For NT.

  15. At last the players start scoring from outside the box. Gives the opponents defenses and goalies something more to worry about.

Fenerbah is winning from zorya 2-0, what this means is this.
If we win tonight against Manu we are through (with fener)
If we draw tonight, then next match we have to win (at home) against Fener. (unless manu doesnt win against zorya)
If we lose tonight, then we have to win next match against Fener with 2-0 or 3-1 etc because of the awaygoal rule between them and us will be decisive. (unless Manu doesnt win from zorya, then any victory will do)

Hope Feyenoord stick it to ManU. It's going to be tough but Dutch resolve will do it. Plus Gio is much more likeable than Mourinho.

We're missing Botteghin and El Ahmadi on top of the longterm absentee's, so chances are not very good.. Time for the wingers to shine and take advantage of their shaky defense.

And you can bet that in decisive matches like this, the referee will be kind to the big club as usual.

Manu 1-0 up, roony pushes over tapia with the ball nowhere near in the PK zone, stands (maybe) offside and taps it in. sigh

He wasn't offside, Nelom was covering...But he did push Tapia who lost balance.

Feyenoord has a problem at the midfield, that El Ahmadi could have helped...Vilhena is too slow on the ball.

Karsdorp, Elia and Toornstra are quality.

    Manchester-Feyenoord = Atletico-PSV

    Bad defending and bad midfield.

Yeah lost compactness and fitness, defenders scared to hold an higher line early in the second half.

Was expected this loss, would have been a better game with Kongolo available instead of Nelom especially going forward. Ohwell, need a to win by 2 goals from fener at home if im correct, will be difficult.
