Feyenoord said "Goodbye" to Hugo Bueno, Facundo Gonzalez, and Ibrahim Osman; however, they may still try to negotiate for Bueno to stay another season.

Feyenoord wants to sign Haakon Bleken Norda. The 16-year-old goalkeeper talent from Norway must come over from club Hamarkameratene. He stands 1.98m, or 6'6".

Aston Villa are in talks to take over Zepiqueno Redmond. Redmond has an expiring contract in Rotterdam-Zuid and can leave on a free transfer if he does not sign a new contract with Feyenoord.

Some youngsters never learn the lessons of past failures.

Heracles Almelo want to sign Mimeirhel Benita on a permanent basis. He was on loan with them last season, and his position (RB) at Feyenoord is clogged with Read, Lotomba, and Nieuwkoop in front of him.

A Spanish site is reporting that Barcelona's trainer Hansi Flick is interested in Igor Paixao as an alternative to their first choice, Luis Diaz of Arsenal.

Other clubs apparently following Igor are Arsenal, Liverpool, Atalanta, Napoli, AS Roma and Aston Villa. His projected price tag is somewhere between €35m and €40m.

Everton and Sand Box side Al Nassr are both keen on obtaining David Hancko. He has the goods to play in the EPL, but of course Saudi side can pay higher wages. When the oil money runs out that country will have nothing but sand-filled stadiums and memories.

This is sad that Hancko who had been linked to Juventus and Atletico Madrid has decided to go play in the sand.
In my opinion he’s the best defender in the Eredivisie by a wide margin, and will be very difficult for Feyenoord to replace.

Paixao who I thought was inconsistent in the past had a tremendous season, and I can totally understand his name being linked with these big money clubs.
Feyenoord will be cashing in on the little Brazilian, and Hancko in the the next few weeks, and will also likely receive some good money for Milambo too who is in demand from Brentford, and these 3 transfers could well pull in 100 Million.
Recruitment for Van Persie will be very interesting to say the least.
Valente the Groningen lad is on his way, and he’s a pleasure to watch.
PSV and Ajax will rue their decision not to sign this creative talent.

  8. Such a pity, but it could as well be the parents being blinded by the initial short term gain.

Feyenoord upped their bid for Valente to €5m on an apparent "take-it-or-goodbye" offer. Not smart. I could see PSV or Ajax coming in with a slightly higher offer to derail Feyenoord's attempt at hard bargaining.

And FC Utrecht have made an offer to Feyenoord for renting, with possible purchase option, on Gjivai Zechiel. He has a €3.5m valuation and would likely go out on loan again next season anyway.

FC Twente has joined FC Utrecht in wanting to take Gjivai Zechiel on loan next season. That would be good for Feyenoord in that he would get high-level football and yet remain on their books.

Al-Nassr's initial bid for David Hancko is €31.5m with a possible €4m in bonuses.

Brentford's first offer for Milambo is €19m with options that could take it to €22m. Feyenoord were angling for €25m at least. Brentford are selling one of their players to ManUre for €65m, so we can see how awash in cash the EPL clubs are.

Jong Feyenoord again doomed to Talents competition: Sparta escapes.

There will be no promotion and relegation between the reserves teams in the Second Division and the Talents/reserves competition. Feyenoord Under-21 went up for promotion, but fell in a two-part match with Jong Sparta Rotterdam. A 1-3 victory for Feyenoord was not enough after the earlier 0-3 defeat.
The two-part match was actually decided last Tuesday at Varkenoord, when Sparta won by a large margin. At Het Kasteel, however, it became very exciting for both teams. Jong Feyenoord, with Plamen Andreev in goal again, had a masterful comeback in store.
Joey de Bie was again the big man on the Feyenoord side. He made the 0-1 in the 28th minute from a difficult angle and provided the assist shortly after halftime to Fabiano Rust, who shot from close range and helped Feyenoord closer to Sparta. The home club had reserved two sections of the stands for the fans, so Het Kasteel was perfectly full for an exciting game of football.
The 0-3 was not long in coming after the 0-2. Once again, De Bie played an important role. The Feyenoord striker took a shot, saw keeper Kaylen Reitmaier let go and teammate Ayoub Ouarghi then struck from the rebound. Sparta seemed broken after giving away the lead and defender Lugene Arnaud of Feyenoord even came close to the 0-4. However, the final push was missing after his attempt. Sparta and Feyenoord were therefore heading for extra time, until just before time Sparta made the 1-3. Dylan van Wageningen took advantage of a ball that was returned from a corner kick and thus personally ensured staying up. The Spartans may report back to the Second Division next season, Feyenoord Under-21 will have to manage in the reserves competition for another year. It will have to become overall U23 champion again to get a possible chance of promotion again.

For years I've been ranting about Feyenoord, before the to be expected transfer out of Stephan de Vrij after the WC 2014, not buying Virgil van Dijk, because ...reasons..I posted about.

Now Koeman lifts a lid on the why...

Ronald Koeman saw in Groningen already the talent of Virgil van Dijk: 'There was no money to bring him to Feyenoord'
The Dutch national team will play in Groningen tomorrow for the first time in more than forty years, in the World Cup qualification against Malta. National coach Ronald Koeman grew up in the city, captain Virgil van Dijk started his professional career there. "I wanted to bring him to Feyenoord, but there was no money."

Feyenoord have made a bid for Brazilian striker Rômulo Cardoso, who is currently with Turkish club Göztepe. Feyenoord won't say what the bid is, but his market value is at €7m. In 46 matches with Goztepe, Cardoso had 22 goals and 13 assists.

    More transfer targets:

Gaoussou Diarra, a 22-yo right footed winger currently in Turkey with Istanbulspor (second division), he scored 16 goals and assisted 3 times this season. He is from Mali. Feyenoord's initial offer is only €1m.

Yarek Gąsiorowski, a tall (1.92m) left-footed centre back who is with my Spanish club, Valencia. He wasn't a starter with Los Ches but may be in line to become one if they sell Cristhian Mosquera this summer. I am torn over this one. I think that Feyenoord would be a good spot for him, but wouldn't want to see Valencia lose him. But, better Feyenoord than any other club.

And a potential change in sportswear brand:

Feyenoord's clothing sponsor is in dire straits. British sportswear brand Castore lost no less than six major football clubs as merchandise partners in the past two to three seasons. A major setback for the new brand, which had the ambition to firmly establish itself at the top of the international football world.

Clubs such as Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bayer Leverkusen, Sevilla and Rangers FC have already said goodbye or will do so shortly. It raises serious questions about the quality of Castore's products and the future of the brand.

Frankly, Castore stuff looks cr@p and I would like to see Feyenoord go with Puma.

    Yeah, Puma would be great.
Hardly ever a design they have is to be considered a failure.

Feyenoord are trying to bring in a new midfielder to their U21 squad. Greek Giannis Bokos (18 yo) is said to be one of the greatest talents of his generation. He is currently with Panathinaikos FC U19 and In 28 matches was good for 15 goals and 7 assists. He can play on the wing or in midfield.

Spanish press is claiming that Feyenoord offered €5m for Valencia's Yarek Gasiorowski. Valencia rejected the offer but are in a tough spot. Yarek wants first team football, but with Valencia attempting to keep Mosquera, it would mean another season on the bench.

If they do sell, Mosquera, then I doubt that they would also sell Yarek. He is basically their 4th CB behind Mosquera, Tarrega, and Diakhaby, and played only 945 minutes in La Liga.

Officially, the market in the Netherlands will not open until June 16, but many clubs have already been quite active with transfers. And there is still a lot to be done. Time for a state of affairs of Feyenoord.

Which transfers have already been completed?
Feyenoord struck early by signing Sem Steijn for four years. The top scorer of the Eredivisie comes for all about eleven million euros from FC Twente. Thomas van den Belt played for Castellón last season and is now continuing his career at FC Twente. Mimeirhel Benita was loaned out to Heracles Almelo and signs a contract there. Marcos López has converted his loan period at FC Copenhagen into a permanent commitment. Earlier, the club had already sold Patrik Wålemark and Ondrej Lingr to Lech Poznan and Slavia Prague.

Which positions have priority during the summer transfer market
Feyenoord is orienting itself on the transfer market for a left-footed central defender, a left back, a midfielder and a striker.

The deal is said to be moving forward with Diarra having already agreed terms with Feyenoord. Istanbulspor rejected the initial €1m offer, but will likely sell for a slightly higher amount.

Diarra is right-footed and can play on either wing.

Feyenoord offered €5m which Valencia rejected, valuing Yarek at €10m. Hopefully they can settle on something in between. Gasiorowski has the goods and just needs playing time which he would get with Feyenoord.

It looks like Arne Slot is going to appoint Giovanni van Bronckhorst as one of his assistants. Gio was last in Turkey. I wonder what will happen to Jean-Paul van Gastel, who has accompanied Giovanni on his various training stints.

Feyenoord have upped their bid for Diarra to €3.5m, which would be a record for Turkey's second division.

Feyenoord have sold Ilias Sebaoui to Belgian side Sint-Truidense VV, but they included a buy-back clause. The price was only €1m with the usual bonus clauses. Sebaoui had loan spells at FC Dordrecht and Heerenveen, but never played for Feyenoord.
