    Haha:ROFLMAO:
Foreigners making fun of the changes of the Feyenoord logo.
Feyenoord presented a new logo yesterday and that led to a lot of hilarity abroad. The small changes are almost invisible, making the Rotterdam football club a victim of the funniest memes worldwide. "That designer deserves a raise!"
    New logo Feyenoord
Foreign media such as Sky Sports (12.8 million followers), The Sport Bible (7.6 million followers) and Out Of Context Football (4.3 million followers) shared Feyenoord's new logo, to which a total of four changes have been made. For example, the new symbol has a brighter shade of red, the F is now more centered, the letters are closer together, and the gold line in the middle has been removed.

It's quite funny to learn they keep an eye on our logo.

  3. "Me telling my ex I've changed," says one person, and another says, "Designer: And that's £5000."
Other companies are also joining in, such as optician Specsavers. "Don't worry, we don't see the difference either." :p
However, a few things have changed about the logo. For example, there is less space between the text, the red is brighter, the golden dividing line has been removed and the F is now in the middle.

article about the videographer of Giménez:
Lorenzo makes videos for Feyenoord striker Giménez: "I've really become part of the fam"
    use google translate if interested
    https://www.funx.nl/news/funx/8d424...-gimenez-ik-ben-echt-part-of-the-fam-geworden
Because Lorenzo was allowed to portray the footballer's private life in detail, he has also built up a special bond with Giménez's family. In the meantime, he has "really become part of the fam" and they have even given him a nickname that is known to football fans as far away as Mexico. "Everyone calls me 'El Castor,'" Lorenzo says with a laugh. "That means 'The Beaver' in Spanish and refers to my last name."

Santiago Gimenez has been nominated for the CONCACAF Player of the Year award amongst several other players.

Feyenoord are ranked 25th in the UEFA coefficient table, two notches above Ajax at 27th. PSV are ranked 30th. Top three clubs are Man City, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

NAC Breda are interested in taking on Shiloh 't Zand, who Feyenoord loaned to FC Dordrecht last season. Across 39 matches, he had 11 goals and 5 assists. Could be a loan or sale; I would rather see a loan. If he does well in Breda, then he becomes more valuable either as a squad player or a later sale.

SC Cambuur have inquired about buying Thomas van den Belt. This would be a sale because Feyenoord don't rate him highly enough for first team action anymore. The hope would be to recoup their €850k purchase price from last season.

  9. He was voted best talent of our second tier, so indeed a loan is the most sensible thing.

We managed to prolong the contract of Thomas Beelen until mid 2028.
His performance attracted the attention of foreign big clubs, so this is a good thing.

Not according to the UEFA site:

    Club coefficients | UEFA rankings | UEFA.com

    That's the not updated list.
The ranking on UEFA's website will only be updated after all the qualifying rounds have taken place, I believe. This ranking still has 0.000 points for the current season, 2024-2025. However, for qualifying the League Phase of the UEFA Champions League, you get 6,000 points. The 53,000 points from previous seasons plus the 6,000 points from this season (so far) makes 59,000 points.
@Teak refers to the updated one, done by I searched for a website that does show the 'current' ranking, even though that website is far from official, but then you get an overview of, for example, the other (Dutch) clubs: https://kassiesa.net/uefa/data/method5/trank2025.html

So UEFA are lying? You cannot award points until the competition starts which is why what is posted is correct.

  14. No, they're lagging.

Yes, as FSF states, the above link is the latest and greatest ranking though not yet on the UEFA website.

But it will be interesting to see how many points Ajax picks up as they work their way through the qualifying rounds and playoff round for the Europa League.

Lennard Hartjes has been sold to Excelsior for a small transfer fee with higher sell-on percentage.

NAC Breda are interested in taking Antef Tsoungui on a loan deal. Deal not yet settled as there are some other clubs interested.

Feyenoord have initiated talks with Brighton & Hove Albion over a possible loan deal for Facundo Buonanotte, an attacking midfielder or winger. Buonanotte played for my Argentine side Rosario Central, so I saw him play two seasons back. He wasn't able to break through with B&HA and now that they have Minteh on the right side, slides farther back in the rotation.

Unfortunately, I lost my streaming source for Argentine football so I might have to resign as Feyenoord's Argentine scout. upload_2024-7-26_7-33-45.gif :(

I have subscribed to Paramount+ for three seasons and here is the reality.

Although this website shows that four Argentine 1st division matches (LPF) were held yesterday
    https://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/2024-07-25/

in reality only one match was carried by Paramount+. And looking at their schedule, Rosario Central is probably only shown once a month versus the 4 or 5 matches per month in prior seasons.

Prior to 2024, P+ carried every LPF match in the USA. Starting this year, they started showing only a few of the weekly matches. Why?

Well, they have now added the National Women's Professional League matches (nearly every one), the Barclay's Women's Super League, and the CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup. In other words, they are adding women's footie and cutting back on men's footie.

The reality is that in the USA, women's football cannot survive on its own merit. It has to piggyback on men's football. So P+ has been cutting back strongly on men's matches to accommodate women's. For example, up until this season, they carried some of the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League matches. This season, they won't start showing matches until the group stage.

Anyway, I will be ditching Paramount+ next month, which is losing money hand over fist (gee, I wonder why) and finding other ways to see men's football. Women demand that they get equal access to viewership and money but then most women don't follow sports that often.

    Here's Bill Barr's take:

Orange14, BTW I took your advice a couple of years back and went with an IPTV. You might remember that conversation. Anyway, it has provided me with quite an assortment that I am enjoying.
