Since these were Feyenoord supporters, I find this totally believable.

Meijer has done an excellent job with NEC this season. He would be my choice.

Seems since the Totally Hotshit offers, Feyenoord had a special team at work to scout and analyse coaches in case Slot moves on.
I guess they monitored those who closely fit the style if play we now.

New offer for Slot in the making: this is how Feyenoord are preparing for his succession
3 hours ago 90 comments FeyenoordTM

    Top candidates (from abroad)
At the time, the rapprochement of the club from North London ensured that a complete recruitment plan was ready in De Kuip. In other words, Feyenoord have already largely recruited and selected the possible successors for Slot. Internal discussions are now taking place about this, from which it is hoped that a unanimous candidate will be found. There are absolute top candidates among them and they mainly come from abroad. For example, there are many Scandinavians among them. So it is anything but a foregone conclusion that Feyenoord will go for a Dutch coach, should Slot move to Liverpool.

The intended new head of youth development, Zeb Jacobs, was selected in a similar way by a specialized team. Now that supporters know that there is also a specialized team focusing on a possible new head coach and his staff, Feyenoord hopes to keep the peace and make the right choice. In any case, there is plenty of time for that, given the momentum of Liverpool's rapprochement for Slot.

    Haha, wishful thinking:p
We learned from your club's mishaps and formed a special team to deal with the succession of Slot with imperative parameters and guidelines being the style of football and coaching style.

    Some emails have come in!

    From John:

Feyenoord fan here, waiting in gloomy trepidation for the official announcement that the best manager in our history is going to swap De Kuip for Anfield. I don’t quite think Liverpool fans know how much of a gem they’re getting. Bart Vlietstra alluded in his article to how Slot turned us from perennial underachievers to runaway title winners in less than two years, but the biggest change Slot has brought about at Feyenoord is turning us into a truly confident team, a team which believes it can beat any opponent by sticking to its own style of football. Feyenoorders are born cynics, so I don’t think you can overstate how huge a transformation that has been.

On a side note, I’m hoping we can prise away Albert Stuivenberg, Arteta’s assistant at Arsenal, as Slot’s successor. He’s Dutch, plays attacking football and seems like he might be ready for a step into management.

The Liverpool of the last few weeks certainly seem as if they are lacking confidence. Would be interesting to see if there is a quick mentality shift if/when Slot comes in. On Stuivenberg, it would certainly be an interesting appointment. Lot’s of experience at top clubs: Arsenal, like you mentioned, but also assistant coach to Louis van Gaal at Manchester United and Wales.

Well, Feyenoord's cup win allows Ajax the chance to qualify for the Europa League if they finish 4th. Otherwise, they will have to qualify for the Conference League via the playoffs.

Feyenoord plucks new head of youth academy away from Rangers.
Feyenoord has found a new head of youth academy in Zeb Jacobs.
The Belgian is the successor of Rini Coolen, who indicated last November that he will leave Feyenoord at the end of this season.

Zeb Jacobs 'agrees' Rangers exit as Manchester City beaten to youth chief by Feyenoord

Rangers have reportedly lost Zeb Jacobs to Feyenoord after the youth chief "agreed" a move to the Dutch giants. We told you yesterday how the 29-year-old was being lined up for a position at the Eredivisie club and now reports in the Netherlands claim the ...

Increadible, the press rats insinuating things:
"What I found very strange... When Feyenoord was honored after the cup win, I think it was Geertruida who shouted: Arne must stay, Arne must stay," says Verweij in the podcast Kick-off. "But now when you see that he's already at West Ham - Liverpool... Perhaps, at the time he shouted that, he already knew a little more than he let on. I assume that this contact did not suddenly come about from the moment that Slot came into the picture. In fact, I think it's been going on for a while."

Several Feyenoord players went to Egnland to watch epl matches.
These rats insinuate that, while Slot only a few days ago suddenly emerged as the leading candidate, there's something sneaky going on with that match visit. These imbecils obviously never have booked an epl match for one of the big clubs at a smaller venue away, that they think you can hop on the plain and have a ticket.
Sometimes I feel the urgent need to kick some nuts with steel boots.

    4-4-2 analysis of Slot ball:

  12. 256554

According to Mikos Gouka, Te Kloese has already made a profile of Slot's successor: "Te Kloese was never tied to nationality or age in his choice and never shied away from daring appointments," wrote the journalist of the Algemeen Dagblad on Wednesday. "In De Kuip they don't reveal much about his new search, but two things are very clear: Feyenoord explicitly looks at a coach's style of play - whether he fits in youth and players have demonstrably improved under him - and of course also linked to that the results."

Analysis of what candidates for becoming Slot's successor need to have.

Feyenoord have a huge challenge ahead of them. The cup winner has to find a successor for a coach who not only won trophies in three years, but gave the entire club a different identity. Arne Slot leaves behind a beautiful, but at the same time difficult legacy. What are the requirements for the new coach? And who is eligible?

I'm sure Ron Jans is available. Don't see any other Dutch manager who can take over Feyenoord right now.

Nuri Sahin rumoured to be on the list to succeed Slot.
    https://voetbalflitsen.nl/feyenoord/3qa9r9/Feyenoord-trainer-Slot-Sahin

Alfons Groenendijk praises Şahin: 'Şahin is tactically very strong'

When Şahin was head coach at Antalyaspor, he had Alfons Groenendijk at his side. Two years ago, the Dutch coach spoke highly of the future of the Turkish coach. "That man is working on the game 24 hours a day," Groenendijk told Voetbal International in 2022. "Şahin is tactically very strong. I know it's dangerous to say, but he's going to be an absolute top trainer. Give him another three years or so." Groenendijk about his time under Şahin: "Every week we are busy with the matches, with images, with training intensity and with all kinds of ideas that we have together about football. He has played at big clubs and worked with great coaches such as Jürgen Klopp. He learned a lot from that."

Feyenoord had several players out on loan to FC Dordrecht this season. In addition to 't Zand (11 goals, 4 assists), there was Ilias Sebaoui (11 goals), David Osundia (4 goals), and defenders Antef Tsoungui and John Hilton. As a result, Dordrecht finished in 4th spot and are now in the promotion playoff. It has been a great collaboration between the two clubs.

Hopefully, 't Zand and Sebaoui get a chance to train with the Feyenoord squad this summer under the new trainer.

I was reading about this and according to the player it’s categorically not true
Absolutely crazy story though that I’m sure will be expanded upon and confirmed one way or another.
