Nevada hires former 'Zona State coach

8. COLLEGE WOMEN: Nevada hires former Arizona State coach Teri Patraw

Former Arizona State head coach Teri Patraw, away from college soccer
the past two years while pursuing a master's degree, has been hired to
lead the University of Nevada's women's program, the school announced
Thursday.

Patraw built Arizona State's women's program from scratch into an NCAA
second-round team in 2000, then stepped down as Sun Devils coach to
enter a two-year MBA course at ASU and establish an investment firm. In
five years in Tempe, Patraw was 46-31-2, 14-7-1 in her final season.

She replaces Dang Pibulvech, who was informed in November that his
contract would not be renewed. Pibulvech was 12-58-2 in four seasons in
Reno.

I was at a Nevada v Boise State U. game last season and heard some comments from the parents of Nevada players that the former coach was not liked by some...mainly cuz that coach played his daughter who was not that good. Or sumpin' like that. Anyone hear similar things?
