Then theres Juan José de la Cruz Ortiz (Atlas) How many goals did he score ? Or assists ? This other maggot just comes out of nowhere in my own Opinion Sergio Amaury Ponce Villegas (Toluca) Wasnt he one of the players that went to Fenix of Uruguay..? Another player i havent heard of is Gerardo Espinoza Ahumada (Atlas) Which is making it suspecious that all these Atlas/Toluca players that IMO are not that known in the MFL at least not to the extent of Cacho and Galindo are getting called up.. Finally there is Rafael Márquez Lugo (Morelia) Why is he even in the line up. I really doubt many of these players will get significant playing time..
ive only seen espinoza(necaxa) a couple of times...he is decent but i gotta admit he didnt impress me that much. de la cruz shouldnt be there IMHO. i agree with you about them unknown atlas/toluca players. rafael marquez is pretty good, he was good when he was with pumas...this last season chiapas dt didnt give him much pt because he prefered filomeno, cabanas and martel. lets hope he gets to start now for morelia since navia is now property of americrap. oh yeah do you remember when i told you about that good gk playing for leon? there he is Cirilo Saucedo.

Apparently a Mexican magazine photographed him with a sombrero and kissing the Mexican flag. This photo caused a lot of commotion in Uruguay and Greece. His response........."I was born their and they're my colors...what? I can't kiss my colors?" Classic. He's waiting to get a call-up from Mexico, he just won't do the pre - olympic tournament. Italy is out of the question (the kid holds an Italian passport) since they have too many strikers. Greece.........they're the dark horse in all this. Levante, I havent read any info where Nery Castillo turned down the invitation to participate in the pre-Olimpico. He said it was up to Olympiakos if they would release him or not since they are close to winning the Greek League. Now im not sure if FIFA forces Clubs to release players since it will be Olimpic tourney and not a FIFA event. As far as Italy goes i last heard that Juventus is interested in him and that he has been in negotiations with the Club. He still has a year left in his contract and Juve has been reported to be on the lookout for young talent to rebuild their club..
VS, Yeah.......he turned it down about a week ago.....I don't know where the link is. FIFA can't force him to go because it is the Olympics. Bro i read the articles and i have yet to see any direct quotes from Nery saying i dont want to go. He just wants to secure his future in Europe, finish his season at Olympiakos and hopefully land a contract with Juve. I dont think Olympiakos will release him for the Pre-Olimpico and he doesnt want to give them a hard time so he is keeping quiet.

A couple of nights ago there was an interview, or an attempt at an interview, with Nery Jr. and Sr. with Jose Ramon Fernandez from TV Azteca that was aired on Los Protagonistas. Basically Nery Jr. would not even talk with JoseRa. His excuse was that his club would not let him talk about anything. Even when JoseRa told him that he would not ask him anything about his playing for Mexico. Nery just said he couldn't talk and his dad then got on the phone. JoseRa then asked if he or his son had had contact with any member of the FMF to which Nery Sr. responded with a resounding No. Now, it seems silly to me that a club would prohibit Nery from talking about anything. It's also curious that in the past Fecha FIFA, Nery was not called up. There would seem to be some behind-the-scenes negotiating going on. During the program it was mentioned that the paperwork to call up Nery for the March 31st match against CR was already in Greece. So it would appear that March 31st is the tell-tale date. I agree that if he is called up and does not show up, that should be the end of it. No player should ever be begged to play for their national team.
