Sat marked the 2nd time since Wolfsburg has been in the 1.Bundesliga that a team has celebrated the title in their home stadium. At least in 98, Wolfsburg was celebrating after that game too...
The Red Devils won 4-0 (or 5-0) in the old VfL Stadion. The win clinched the title for them and other results around the league clinched that VfL Wolfsburg would remain in the 1.Bundesliga for its 2nd year. So both teams & fans were happy celebrating.
