According to the article, Ryan is gone for the remainder of the season with a sprain of his right MCL..

In watching the replay, it looked like Nelsen collided knees with Hernandez and you could actually see Nelsen telling Rick Guter he hurt his knee with a colliding motion with both fists to explain the injury..

Recover well Ryan, you did very well this season and it will be more than likely that you will end up our leading goal scorer this season with a whopping 4 goals (how friggin' pathetic is that?)..

Horrible, horrible news. I hope it isn't a tear. sPrains are worse than sTrains. a sPrain can be 1st degree-no tearing, 2nd degree-partial tearing, or 3rd degree-completely severed. I really hope he only has a 1st degree.

Just when it looked like we were turning the corner, and the wheels fell off. :(

Best wishes to Ryan in his recovery.

I hope he comes back, as he was one of the few bright spots this year.

Yucky. Sorry to hear that. Get well soon (and properly), Nelsen. We can't lose any more key players!

Nelly has been a bright spot this year. Get healed up Ryan. Take your time, you earned it!

He's lucky. He doesn't have to suffer on the pitch when we lose the next 3. Best of luck Ryan. You came into your own this year as our leading scorer and best defensmen, congratulations.

Sorry about the "me-too" post, but there isn't a whole lot to add. Get well soon Ryan.

    Yet another me-too post.

Get well soon Admiral. Hope it's not the last time we see you in a DC United uniform.

According to the Post Nelsen may not be in a DC uni next season. Apparently his contract is up and he's looking at teams from Europe. Hopefully it's just a bargaining ploy. It's in today's print edition so I'm sure the article is on-line.

I thought Nelsen was looking at teams overseas to play/train during DC's offseason. I didn't get the impression he was leaving for good.

Hope he stays, can't lose our best scoring threat. Actually, he and Nick have been the brightest lights for DCU this year. Get well, N-e-l-l-y, y because he's nelly, nelly, nelly, nelly!

This injury more than anything else makes me depressed. Nelsen and Rimando were two bright spots in this dismal season. Now with one gone, we have exactly one point of light... (sigh)

I thought people had said that DCU made clear on Thursday at the Lounge that Nelson wasn't going anywhere?

He's been one of the few highlights this season. He will definitely be missed.
