    Hey Guys

I registered a team in the Utah Soccer Association summer league and I need some more players. Games start the last week of March and are on Saturdays. I know we here on BS can all talk a good game, but here's a chance to back it up on the field!

Requirements: You should be a team player, have decent knowledge of the game, have a good attitude and be reliable.

If you're interested in playing, PM me with your email and I'll send you more info.

where are the games going to be played? Needed positions?

  3. What division are you in? Some of us would barely qualify for a Division V team, as you well know ;)

    - Fourth Division (lowest)
    - Games are held throughout salt lake county
    - Need all positions except keeper (holy crap, why does it seem like everyone I know is a keeper??)

Somwhere in Salt Lake county is a big area. I live in Lehi, so it depends on how long a drive. Also, I work (nights) every OTHER saturday. Other than those two potential issues, I'd love to play. I've been playing in a league in Orem, but i'd like to support a BS based team. My best positions are holding center mid, right wing, and right/holding forward. I can defend when I have to and contribute from pretty much any position on the field. I'm more of a creative passer than explosive dribbler. I dont know how to pm so please pm me if you'd like me to play.

Because thats the position that requires the least amount of running.

  7. AMEN! That's why I converted to goalkeeper after my mission. Those 30 extra pounds were tough to get moving up and down the field.:)

I was okay for ten years after my mission, basically until my oldest daughter turned 2, as I played semi-competitively until I was 31 or so. But the shift to less formal playing and ensuant "girth gain" means I remind myself of one player I saw in the Argentine kit once:

(not the guy on the left! Though, in that last stint with Boca as he got larger and larger - yeah, I could play in the center circle exclusively like that version of Maradona sometimes did.)

well guess you can count me out. I am a keeper, not necessarily because of the running thing because I used to run outside of playing soccer as well, just my position. In high school I was a midfield/forward, but still played keeper on the JV team. Good luck with your team.
