found this jersey on ebay, classic newcastle jersey with the brown ale sponsor, i was wondering if anyone can tell me if it looks authentic or not..i dont want to be duped into buying a fake http://i16.ebayimg.com/03/i/00/9a/bf/16_1.JPG
here's the whole auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2754896035&category=10366 please nobody bid on it though! cheers!
Looks real to me. Adidas logo, NU logo next to it, plus the official NU product label on the lower left corner. If it's European sizing then an XL is an American large. If you wear a U.S. XL you'd want a Euro XXL.
this one is such a bad fake http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3627887183&category=20865
this one looks pretty good right? Dunno how accurate it is though.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3628045091&category=36300
Metros, The last jersey you posted is authentic but I will bet that it has a slight defect in it, which is why the price is so low. There are a lot of jerseys available on EBay that are similar to that style - the collarless neck - so you may want to wait. But this is a good bargain.
Size 46 would be an XL? I think I am too wimsical to buy a jersey off Ebay.... Man I wish I could see this thing in person.....
eeek Here is my question.... I have bought the two most recent NUFC home jerseys in NYC..... both are XL and they fit me pretty good. What would the number equivalent be for these? Is the XL jersey that is sold in America different to a XL jersey that is sold in Europe? I dunno....
Metros, it depends. Adidas has been good on selling XL in US sizes, but in general, the sizes in Europe are smaller than the ones here. With exception of Fire jerseys, Puma cuts all its sizes to Euro specs, which means I can't buy an Israeli national team shirt until Puma makes it in XXL.
Another word of warning on that last jersey. I wouldn't bid on any auction that does not accept PayPal or some other form of escrow-able payment. My dad was burned to the tune of $1800 when a guy would only accept non-traceable, non-escrowable forms of payment. I warned my dad, but he was so hot to trot to replace his stolen laptop that he got another one stolen...
Hey Crew Toon, my cousin lives in C-Bus...... hmmmnnn..... lol Seriously though all these sizes differences stinks.... I never know if I need an XL or an XXL anymore....
so is a size 46 the equivalent to an adidas XL? crazy thought.... would it be possable for you to buy the jersey, and then meet my cousin at a CREW game and she'll reimburse ya? crazy thought.... yea I know
Holy S dude! This is the one I want!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3628564019&category=20865
want this one as well.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2755617733&category=2886
jersey sizing Problem is that the domestic vendors (adi, nike, etc) are just buying them from their european counterparts (adidas germany, for instance). They don't sell enough to get them produced for themselves. Therefore they have little to no input in the sizing or tagging of the jerseys. Over the last couple of seasons our company has seen most of the UK and US sizes marked the same...we generally work with the following range for XL's in replicas (with some exceptions): adidas: 44-46 nike: 45-47 reebok: 46-48 umbro: 42-44 kappa: 42-44 puma: 44-46 That doesn't take into account athletic cuts (like the many of the puma and kappa jerseys), but hope it helps. good luck NYR Metros!
Here is another nice one... not my size thogh.... Newcastle United L Jersey Asics Shirt 93-95 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2755204425&category=2886
