Looking for any current crocketteer or someone interested in joining (but hasn't), who would like to help keep www.crocketteers.com fresh by becoming a contributing blogger. I'm looking for more bloggers to blog about anything soccer related or san antonio soccer related. It can be about league action in the MLS, USL, EPL, etc..... It can be about your life and soccer. Or if you really want to help the bigger cause, it can be blogs about San Antonio Soccer, what's going on in the city that affects the beautiful game.

    Anyone? :D

Also if you are just looking to simply join the group, please join by filling out the form here: http://www.crocketteers.com/join-crocketteers/

    I just joined,
I'll talk to you some more about some ideas that I have.

    About the blog,
the best thing we can do is promote it as much as posible, gotta do anything possible to get other San Antonio webpages to have a link to the blog.
The 2nd thing is to show a lot of soccer news about the area,
with a big emphasis on the Austin Aztex, to show that they did it, so we can do it, too.
I would show lots of news about FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Monterrey, Tigres, college soccer, high school soccer.
The point of doing that is to show people that soccer is popular in Texas and/or the region.

    Something else,
another way to promote the idea is to have T-shirts
and also try to somehow "tie" the team to any San Antonio festivity.
I went to "Fiesta de los niños" and 2 guys gave me pamphlets promoting their football teams.

Check out the St. Louis section,
they were trying really hard to get a MLS team and they had some excellent ideas.

    Since I can't blog yet...
you could write something about that Reagan HS girls soccer team that is ranked... I believe #1 in the country or the state.
That school is in North San Antonio.

Register there and let me know when you are done and ill give you author access. I honestly have not followed HS soccer in the area; with that said, why dont you give it a stab or talk about the pro teams in Texas as you suggested.

I've contemplated asking one of the Aztex bloggers out there if they can do a contributing blog to our site giving an introduction to USL and their franchise.

If any Aztex or USL blogger interested, let me know.

Ok you have access to blog. When you "publish" your post it will appear on the site... draft or private will not appear to the general public.

Yeah I had to change you from subscriber to author for that to work. I left a PM on suggestions for your post. At the very least, add the original authors name to it.

Sucks for Reagan that it ended with an OT loss.

Imagine that black jersey during the South Texas summer heat.

I'm kind of against a soccer team sharing colors with the Spurs, like the rampage, toros, and silver stars do. But if the Spurs are the ownership group then I guess I'll live with it.

I've been thinking that brown would be nice. Sort of like the Columbus Crew jerseys, but with brown and off white in place of yellow and black...

    Imagine:[IMG]

Our inspiration for our site colors and future group crest/logo is Shiner Bock Colors. [IMG]

It's a Texas beer owned by a San Antonio Company.
The Brown color scheme probably reflects the Texian Army well.

    Is that true?
should we go ahead and open a thread to talk about the shirts/jerseys and play around with photoshop?

Do a search for "Wolverhampton Wanderers"

Anxiously waiting on your blog posts. Since you are in the Seattle area, it might be nice to have your Seattle Soccer perspective as a consistent highlight to our site.
