It is excessive, especially since Farina wrote in his report that Nedved stepped on him when he was leaving the pitch... and there's NO video evidence to back it up, the video shows just the opposite. Let's not forget that this is the ref of Barca-Chelsea, where both Mourinho and Rijkaard agreed that he was terrible.
He is quite a bit upset by the whole thing and I can only agree with him as I posted in the match post already we are on a too close watch by refs. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/dec6g.html
the person that needs to go is this ref. he's garbage and has no clue how to ref a game. 5 games!!! like someone said before, he's had trouble in other games, with a lot of questionable calls and a lot of managers complaining about him. there's no way this 5 game ban can stand when there's no proof of him stomping on his foot.
Does anyone have that feed? I would like to see for myself..you woudl think if an event like this happen, the ref would have been leaning over in pain..I do not remember seeing that within a game. Also, you would think more of an event would have followed that even the sports news would have focused on. It is just hard to believe that Nedved desrves a 5 game ban...
Nedved gets 5-game ban --look on the brightside So Nedved gets a five week Christmas break. Someone will fill for him. It's not do or die; we're just fine in the classifica.
Tough break. If Alex and Trez come back, it won't be much of a fuss and we are in Serie B, so our results won't be affected too much.
