Aysha Jamani scored 4 goals today against Panama in Olympic Qualifying. She also drew a penalty kick in the waning minutes of the game, which one of her teammates missed.

Ex-Husker Christine Latham also added a goal for Canada, who won 6-0.

great performance for aysha ... she's committed to nebraska, but she's only in gr. 11, so she won't be down in lincoln until 2005

From what I saw of her yesterday (and if Aysha is indeed committed), Nebraska might just have won the lottery.

Too bad USA didn't get a t.v. feed of the Canada/Panama game. She'd be the subject of a lot of discussions.

Lol, you make it sound as if Nebraska isn't a good place for an up and coming Canadian. I think Nebraska and John Walker have a fine track record with those girls from up north. ;)

I expect her commitment to stand, women's soccer recruiting isn't as cutthroat as major college sports. Girls tend to stay committed to their original choices.

Don't look now, but Nebraska will be fielding a tremendously talented team in 2005.

With recent recruiting, that Nebraska v. Texas A&M rivalry is going to be even more intense. Exciting!
