Well, the other 120K were in the parking lot. They had the giant screen TV out. I think it was Fan Appreciation Day....or something like that.
MLSnet.com's fixed the error, the attendance was 18,649. Still not a bad crowd though. Better than average for a MetroStars home game.
Oh darn...a world record attendance figure would have looked really good for MLS. The NYC metro area should really do better than 18k considering how many people live there. I'm just happy that the 78,000 fans that were at Giants Stadium on Sunday between 1PM and 4PM went home sad and stunned
Figures this kinda stuff would happen. Metro's get in the playoffs and fans come from everywhere to see it.
