Thank you for the prayers. Ev had a bit of a rough few days, but after 8 days he turned the corner. I can honestly say I have never felt more helpless in my entire life. Tonight is he is finally my boy again. Just a very weak and sleepy version. Still it was great to see him knocking his ball around as he walked back and forth from his room to the bathroom He has a long road ahead , but he's a fighter too. First thing he did once he was alert was to ask for his Eurosport to find new boots! Life is good! And special thanks to Web for updating here and for his wonderful support and friendship!
Obsolutely fantastic news brother!!! Loved the part about quickly asking for the latest Eurosport mag, heck I remember when that was me waiting for that thing to show up in the mail and checking out the first year MLS gear. Much Naranja Love Bilzy.
Congrats.....couldn't imagine being there with a child myself and so glad he is improving and hopefully recovering!
It sounds like Evan still needs your prayers, yesterday he wrote that he was feeling sick, today his mom says they're taking him to the doctor. She sounds concerned but I'm hoping for the best. I imagine that with such major surgery there will be a few setbacks. Keep him in your thoughts.
I don't know how many of you follow Bilzy on Twitter, but she posted today they go back to the surgeon on Tuesday to see if the titanium plate had slipped. He is in pain again but in good spirits, she says.
From bilzy Tweet 10 minutes ago. He needs prayers more than ever. http://twitter.com/#!/bilzy "Heart unstable, dehydrated, pain still. Tests being done now."
Well I was really scared for Evan all day today after reading Bilzy's tweets, but things sound a lot better now. She had written in the morning that he was in a lot of pain, had welts on his chest and a fever. She sounded alarmed and was rushing him to the hospital in Austin. Before that happened, he was supposed to go tomorrow back to Houston to have the plate in his chest checked for slippage, but in her last tweet it sounds like that might not be necessary, which is good.
