A coworker sent to this to me and I had a good laugh... http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/blog/sow_experts/post/The-latest-worst-miss-ever?urn=sow,236778
quite possibly the worst mls miss i've ever seen. for all of those who complained when we got rid of him, sorry. dynamo FO = right. you = wrong
Your opinion isn't shared by alot of us. I liked Kei and I still think he is a talented player, I will only root against him when he plays the Dynamo. I've seen alot of more bad misses and flubs by alot of supposedly 'better' Dynamo forwards (granted, not as bad as Kei's last weekend). Don't be surprised if Kei spoils your day Saturday. Karma has a way of doing that.
speak for yourself. i like Kei, he's a great guy, loved seeing him out in the field with a smile on his face when things were going right for him...... but, you also have to remember he would get lost out there on the field, sulk like a baby and had happy feet when he got in the box. you got to remember the bad with the good.
At the beginning of the highlight clip the announcers said it was raining. It looked more like he slipped on the grass when he tried to plant his foot. Ngwenya did almost the same thing in MLS Cup 2007. Fortunately he was able to get up and shoot again. Not saying it wasn't hilarious though.
I'd say a large part of my lamenting the unfulfilled promise of the Kobra Kei is summed up by his reaction to the ref after the handball call. I mean, I understand you've an obligation to try and sell it, but in a situation like that, you've gotta get up and fall back.
The comments here are hilarious: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2946636/Is-this-the-miss-of-the-century.html
What I find most hilarious is Kamara's expression as he argues with the ref about the call. He's kidding, right??? Sometimes you just have to walk away.
Having watched the video more times than I care to have (zero times was enough for a Wizards fan - but I must have some masochist in me or something), I think he was pleading that the ball was over the line before it got handled. That's what I believe I heard, at least. ... As far as Kei, his +/-'s and whatnot... I'll say that I'm glad he's here in KC though I do agree that he isn't fully 'developed' yet. Even so, he is great at knocking down balls and holding as well as getting into the defender's heads at times. Esp. now that Zoltan is injured, we don't have anyone else that is big and strong like him, so he fills a role on the team for sure. In your case you may not have the same need that we did - sometimes it can be a good trade for both teams.

that was my initial thought as well. but after watching it again and fixating on his left foot, i saw that it stays firmly planted and doesn't slip. he just straight up missed the ball. hard to believe. can you imagine if the RA missed it and the goal was allowed? in this instance (though rare) praise should go to the refs for seeing such a hand ball and immediately calling it. sorry kei, your suckness caught up to you.
I only watched the highlights once since everyone was talking about it and was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah, you know I'm sure Landin would have put it in, he's GOLDEN from inside of one yard, that length being the total distance of all his goals scored with the Dynamo. It's a friggin' blooper. Nothing more or less.
in 4 long years this is the 1st time you agree with something i wrote? dude, not even sht i've written under my caucasian, free-market evil-twin sock?
Bad miss. That said.... ....I'd give my left nut to have him back in Dynamo Orange, especially now. Over Ching? No. Over Landin, Oduro, & Weaver. In a freaking minute.
yeah, weird i know. i'm sure it's hard to believe that not everyone agrees with you, but megalomania is a beotch. but please feel free to say more things that i will agree with. it allows me more time to knit.
Wait until Nick Garcia comes to town -- if he survives that long up in TFC. If the two are on the field together --- double red cards are possible.
Ja, ja, I feel sorry for the guy, I'm getting emails from all my friends abroad who enjoy making fun of MLS. This video is all over the world. Not that I care for Kamara too much anymore since he stopped wearing orange... I am not sure what language provides the best punchlines, but some funny examples i found. Of course, I like the first one: "Not everybody has the hand of God"
