According to Steve Goff, GolTV acquired the english language rights to Copa America and will show all 26 matches live. http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2007/05/at_the_copa.html Anyone know what are the options for getting GolTV in Houston? I understand that it's available on the satellite networks, but I have to stick with cable because of my internet connection. Am I just going to have to go to a bar with GolTV? Anyone know other options? Which channel has the Spanish language rights?
Re: [NDR] GoalTV/Copa America viewing options in Houston? GolTV may have both English and Spanish rights, they broadcast in both languages and on DirecTV they have separate channels for them. That's pure speculation though, but it is a possibility. I'd be surprised if they could afford to outbid the major Spanish stations. EDIT: I just read the link (what a novel concept) and I guess they only have the English rights. I wonder if that means they'll be broadcasting it in English on their Spanish channel. I'm not sure what other options there are other than going to a bar if you can't get it at home. There will probably be somewhere to watch them online but I'm not sure what they are.
Re: [NDR] GoalTV/Copa America viewing options in Houston? Doesn't the Mezz have GolTV? I'm pretty sure I've seen that logo on games they've had on there.
Univision has the Spanish rights I think you can check their schedule here... http://www.univision.com/content/channel.jhtml?chid=4&schid=9756&secid=0
