True, done deal just like VfB's chances for a repeat this year. The Pokal looks to be the last chance to salvage something this year.
I know what he meant and just like being a baldy headed guy, it's to late to grow a Mullet unless you live in Frisco!
Schwabe's (Soccer) week is looking like it may get worse. About 12 minutes to go and an upset in the making. Ok, I get done typing that and Super Mario ties the game with 9 Minutes to go.
Borussia Dortmund - 1899 Hoffenheim 3:1 VfB Stuttgart - FC Carl Zeiss Jena 4:5 after penalty kicks Bayern München - 1860 München tomorrow VfL Wolfsburg - Hamburger SV tomorrow
Wahnsinn. Seemed to be a hell of a game. Schwabe sorry about that result. Results from the Matches today: Dortmund - Hoffenheim 3:2 (2:1) VfB Stuttgart - Jena 6:7 after PK (0:1, 1:1, 2:1, 2:2) 4:5 on PK's Jena led until Min. 81 when Gomez equalizes. Stuttgart leads in OT 2:1 (Gomez again) and Jena equalizes at Min. 120. Tied 3:3 at Pk's until Da Silva misses for VfB. With that the second from bottom (in BL2) Jena upset the German Champs and join Dortmund in the Semi Finals. They also beat the defending DFB Cup Champs Nuernberg and another BL side Arminia Bielefeld in the tournament so far.
I believe in the good (character) in a human, but he is a very sad case ... your answere is rep'd by the way
How about I buy you a beer so you can wash away the loss? Quiet, you. Your moderator skills are already in question! No need to add your humanity ones to that list as well
Speaking of Character and what a Derby means to some people. Check this link out: http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/artikel/755/160318/ Seems some FC Bayern Fans did some remodeling to TSV 1860's old Home Ground.
Well, considering how common buying refs are, that should bring down the price quite a bit, so I figure if I offer them Rickker and Ocnorb, they'll agree to let them win one game....after being stuck in a room for a few days with them, I'm sure anyone would be willing to do anything to get out I keed I keed
Ribery's penalty decides an exciting derby Franck Ribery scores for Bayern French midfielder Franck Ribery booked Bayern München'splace in the last four of the German Cup with a dramatic penalty in the 120nd minute of their quarter-final win over neighbours 1860 Munich. Ice-cool Ribery kept his composure to score the game's only goal when he converted his spot kick for the second time after his first successful effort - just seconds before - was ordered to be retaken after a team-mate strayed off-side. Earlier in the evening, VfL Wolfsburg also booked their place in the last four with a 2-1 extra-time win over Hamburger SV thanks to their Brazilians Grafite and Marcelinho. After Grafite put his side in the lead with a 17th minute penalty, Hamburg hit back when captain Rafael van der Vaart unleashed a superb free-kick in the 70th minute. It was all-square at full-time, but Marcelinho hit the winner in extra time to put his side in the semi-finals. VfB Stuttgart were knocked out of the German Cup by second division Carl Zeiss Jena on Tuesday, losing their quarter-final on penalties 4-5 after extra time ended at 2-2. In Tuesday's other quarter-final, Borussia Dortmund eased past second division 1899 Hoffenheim 3-1. Jena's Torsten Ziegner Stuttgart looked to be heading for victory at 2-1 up in the second period of extra time but Robert Müller took advantage of a mistake by goalkeeper Sven Ulreich and stroked the ball into the empty net. Antonio da Silva missed the decisive penalty, firing Stuttgart's fourth over the bar, and Torsten Ziegner then stepped up to make it 5-4. Striker Tobias Werner had given Jena a surprise lead in the 32nd minute. The Bundesliga champions had to wait until the 81st minute before Mario Gomez levelled. The tall striker then netted again with a header in the fourth minute of extra time. In Dortmund, Giovanni Federico put the home side ahead after 20 minutes. Tinga Dortmund's lead three minutes later. Hoffenheim's Francisco Copado scored from the penalty spot just before halftime to make it 2-1, before Mladen Petric made the match safe for Dortmund in the 54th minute. The semifinals are scheduled for March 18./19., while the Cup Finals in Berlin’s Olympiastadion will be played on April 19 - the early date due to the UEFA EURO 2008 in Austria and Switzerland. BOLD teams are in the semifinals
Quite the Munich Derby today. Game decided on a disputed Penalty (foul appeared to be outside the box) two minutes into stoppage time of the second overtime. PK had to be retaken after to many Bayern players ran into the box. 1860 loses it's starting Goalie and Playmaker due to injury during the match. Three players ejected (one for Bayern in Regulation, two to 1860 in OT). That is how a Derby is played, of course had Bayern lost in that way conspiracy theorists would have a field day. Borussia Dortmund (BL) FC Carl Zeiss Jena (BL2) VfL Wolfsburg (BL) FC Bayern (BL)
I don't get it - aren't the conspiracy theorists having a field day now, since Bayern advanced on a disputed penalty, and 1860 had two men sent off to Bayern's one?
