Eh....you never know. We all know who runs the USSF and how he likes to run things...most of the time it makes people want to

Still...it's undue pressure on arguably one of the best keepers in the world

Hate to say it, but she should've waited until the end of the tournament if she wanted to play.

If she stopped caring, go ahead and blast 'em.

Was watchin the highlights (eerr...lowlights) of the game and all I have to say is that last goal by Marta was impossible....simply f'in brilliant. Good lord.

That would have to be FIFA GOTY (if they have one). It's just that damned good.

Sux that it was against us though :(

    Final score Germany 2 x 0 Brazil.

Congrats to the Germans. They played like world champions all tournament long and managed this game brilliantly. Brazil had several excellent chances, especially in the first half, but just couldn't get one through. Marta missed a PK with very poorly taken shot. The Germans didn't give up a goal this tourney and that's just amazing at this level.

Also, the third place final was US 4 x 1 Norway.

It appears that instead of 2 levels in women's soccer, the good and the bad, there are now 3: Germany, the good (USA, Brasil, Norway, China), and the bad (rest of the world).

    Shutout the whole tournament. Wow.

Meh, no surprise. She knows the rules: don't diss your teammates and don't expose dirty laundry (until after the tournament).

Now, if she doesn't get called again there's a problem. But I'm sure the new coach will give her a chance to redeem herself.
