    My rooting interests this week.

    International phase

    Royals over Herediano; U.S. reps
TFC over Aguila; hey, I like Canadians
Caledonia over Sounders; suck it, Seattle

    League phase

    Crew over DC; standings, baby
    Revs over Sporks; more standings
    Union over Impact; I guess
Reds over Fire; I just keep pulling for TFC
Rapids over RSL; it's all about the Shield now
Timbers over FCD; this could get ugly
Sounders/Gals; no good can come of this

He forgot to add that Brad Davis catches Cobo Jones on the all-time career assists list with 1 more. Passes him with 2 assists.

Results didn't go our way tonite. Chicago game back and SKC got a road win. This is going to be a fight until the end because it looks like the top 5 teams can all hang with each other and the unbalanced schedule means more games than usual down the stretch between teams in the East (although it should be noted we're done with DC and after next Friday we are done with NYRB for the year).

NBC Sports Network is doing a great job in broadcasting the matches for MLS. The production is great quality, the promotion is hip and exciting, and now they have the new MLS TV--MLS 36 is on tonight.

Sometimes guys really sell getting head-butted when there is no real "butt", but Rivas did a mini-Zidane out there. I hate when they give out reds for handbags and weak stuff but that was pretty vicious and with intent. I know he was pulled down but that is 5 games right there IMO.

antoine hoppenot deserved a yellow (at minimum) also.

here's the problem with MLS: they will rightfully suspend Rivas for additional games and the fans will have their villan, but totally ignore the wrestling move Hoppenot pulled that begin the melee. that's not soccer Antoine.

Yep. That's 5th playoff spot in the West could get interesting if Chivas USA can score some goals. They are 7 points behind the Galaxy but have 4 games in hand. The Goats could take a big step by beating LAG next Sunday night. If Chivas wins that game you never know how things could go.
