Just noticed that the SJE x SS game in the USOC will be at Kezar Stadium, the old place in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The 49ers (and others) played there for a while, and some scenes in Dirty Harry were also filmed there. That's just pretty cool.
My rooting interests for the week. Open Cup: Gotta show some solidarity for MLS here. Union over Islanders Sporks over Lions Baby Goats over Eagles Quakes over Sounders, whew, that feels much more better League: Reds over Impact, standings Fire over Sporks, standings II Reds over Bulls, standings III Impact over DCU, standings IV Revs over Sounders, why not? Royals over Crew, West over East Timbers over Rapids, meh Quakes over Galaxy, getting a bit uppity out in LaLa Land
Ah man that's awesome! I love Golden Gate Park. Last year I ran the 100th annual Bay to Breakers which ends at the Polo fields in the Golden Gate Park. Now that would be a fun place to visit.

The crowd at Montreal for their rivalry game looked a bit disappointing. Maybe the quiche festival national holiday is still going on. SJE has apparently sold out about 50,000 seats at Stanford Stadium for their game against LAG. Nice job.
