Some guys were disgusted with the ridiculous Rolling Stone Top 500 Songs List (Pure Crap) so they started a project to name their own.

Always room for disagreement, but this is the best list of this kind I've ever seen.

Wow. Bubba, thy name is eclecticism.

Patti Smith -- Ask the Angels
    Talking Heads -- No Compassion
    Patsy Cline -- Sweet Dreams
The Selecter -- Bristol and Miami
Elvis -- 5ive Gears in Reverse
    Sex Pistols -- Problems

    Pizzicato Five -- It's a Beautiful Day

Just what pops into my head this morning.

I can't really believe there are 500 songs better than Don't Dream it's Over by Crowded House.

And they're also ranked in order of submission, so you could say that there are no songs better.

I wish the list had Otis Redding's and/or Aretha's cover of Respect.

Glad to see John Prine on the list and no Jimmy Buffet, that warms the heart.

I've just listened to that song on cdnow. What poor taste.

Please everyone disreguard Hangthadj. He's back on the bean sprouts this week. He's dangerously unfashionable and should not be allowed to walk the streets.

    In the meantime.....

    Cleanse your soul

There are few better songwriters than Neil Finn over the past 50 years. You are a jerk.

Well since your saving cash by not buying booze, go buy yourself some decent CDs.
