For the past few days on Bigsoccer I keep seeing a banner ad that says "Shoot the Paparazzi" showing Brad Pitt's head on a cartoon body running from some guy with a camera. It's so stupid that I might actually click on it. Apparently I could win a free laptop. In related news, on another site (I don't remember which) I saw a "Shoot the Werewolf" banner ad showing a werewolf bouncing around the ad with a bloody human corpse in the background.
That ad scares me. Brad Pitt's head is not proportionate. They could have done a better job with the photoshoppin and then thus not have had to scare anyone. Atleast not so much so.
I just saw the ad again, but now they want to give me a $250 Wal Mart gift card. That's a big difference between the laptop they were offering earlier. So I shot the paparazzi guy, then it sends me to a page where I apparently have to start filling out stuff. I stopped there. Does BigSoccer get money for me clicking through? Is that how this works?
They had one a week or so ago where you were supposed to "Shoot the Terrorist". Some moron started a thread complaining about how "insensitive" this sort of thing was and how it "promotes hate" and blah, blah, blah. So I guess shooting kidnappers and beheaders is out of bounds on humanitarian grounds but nailing a photographer is just good fun.
BTW now you get to shoot the duck for a laptop. Shouldn't someone start a thread about how insensitive it is to kill cute little duckies, and how is spreads hate towards water fowl?
i'm getting all my veggetarian friends to boycott big soccer. i know eggy would be mortified if he saw that ad.
