My Wizards are playing the Columbus Crew tomorrow night and the game is on HDnet. Anybody know of any local sports bars (preferably in Durham or Chapel Hill) that 1) Have high definition TVs and 2) have DirecTV satellite feeds (the only local HDnet provider) and 3) might be convinced to put to put said TV on a soccer game on Saturday night? thanks!
Try Buffalo Wild Wings in Chapel Hill. They seem to have a lot of stuff and I know the Courage is trying to get them to be an Away Game Headquarters of sorts. Let us know if you have any luck.
Andy, Sorry I didn't see this until too late. Chuck'ems Grill in Cary (Cary Parkway and High House) has about a dozen High-Def plasm a screens. Next time I'm in there (which is often) I'll ask about HDNet. Jarrett
Yeah, I had lunch there (the old Jasper's) last month. Pretty frightening display ostentatious expense, actually. Since the place is more restaurant than sports bar.
I'll pay good money to watch those High-Def TVs though. I've watched a few of the NHL playoff games there...Oh my! Jarrett
