Stanford is 9-0 in its last nine shootouts.

SMU just drew even with Virginia in the waning minutes.

They play some ugly soccer, but Stanford definitely knows how to defend and win tournament games.

Georgetown will meet Stanford in the College Cup semifinals. Virginia awaits the winner of tonight's UCSB/Wake Forest match.

    GU-Washington was a good game.

Huskies scored in the first half and lead until about the 73rd minute when the Hoyas scored twice in four minutes. Both teams have multiple pro prospects.

Georgetown is probably playing the best soccer in the NCAAs right now. Won't be surprised if they go all the way.

Alistair Johnston is on my short list of favorite ever Deacs, and that list includes friends from my own time at Wake, players that I babysat when they were kids... you name it.

    What. A. Freaking. Goal.
