OU moved up fortunately, despite being ranked #9 in Sagarin's poll. Yes, that's right, OU is #9 behind such teams as Boise State(#5? you gotta be sh!ttin me), FSU(way to pull out that win against powerhouse Wake). Utah's guaranteed a BCS bowl with the #6 slot. Here's hoping they hold onto it.

It is still based on Massey ratings, but basically I am estimating the final season winning percentage of each team. I throw in penalties for teams without a win or without prospect of two wins over top 25 teams. I apply a 50/50 win rate for a hypothetical conference championship game, so all teams with such games are penalized. The teams with no win over top 25 double penalties are Boise State, and Louisville. The teams with one win over top 25 penalities are Utah and Florida State.
Miami lost 2nd place in the BCS because they lost 7 points in the AP poll going from 1447 to 1441 (and because of a gain by OKU in the computer average). This dropped thier percentage from 0.891 to 0.887. This drop equated to a drop of 0.0013 in the BCS standings. They also went from 0.960 to 0.980 in the computer average, which is an increase of 0.0067 in the BCS rankings, so Miami gained 0.0054 points. Miami was identical in the coaches poll. Oklahoma lost only one point in the coaches poll, from 1470 to 1469, or 0.001 percentage points or 0.0003 BCS points. OK went from 0.820 to 0.870 in the computer average, increasing by 0.050 or 0.0167 BCS points. This was facilitated by a drop by Utah in the computer imaginations.
