    NBA Smack thread

    Dear Celtics,

Raef LaFrenz for Antoine Walker? Stop it- you're killing us. Thanks for bending over and letting us do you the way we wanted. Bitches.

    Sincerely,
    The Mavs

Can't wait until the playoffs when the Mavs are playing the Spurs in a very close game, and Walker starts throwing up three points shots, and goes 2-10 from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter.

    Mavs lost in this trade.

LaFrentz averaged 15 ppg and almost 8 rpg the season before going to Dallas.

Once the Mavs get a good coach maybe their good players will become a good team.

LaFrentz averaged that for the freaking Nuggets. A traffic cone could have averaged 10/5 in that awful lineup. Once he got around good players, he was exposed for the big white stiff that he is.

And everybody forgets that the Mavs were taking it to the Spurs before Dirk's injury.

Wasn't that because Dallas didn't have to face the Lakers?

Actually, in the west, the Mavs need bodies at the center spot and that doesn't take into account that they don't expect the center to produce point, just fouls.

Is Popeye Jones due to make a comeback?
How y'all like eating Bradley's contract?
    Is he still even there?

    Gringo:

Who is going to play defense for the Mavs?

    Curious.

    Signed,

The Rest of the Western Conference

I think Cuban made a mistake here. The Mavs did NOT need another gunner. They already have to share the ball between Dirk, Finley, and Nash. Walker already bristled having to share the rock with Pierce, you think he'll be happy having to share amongst THREE other players?

Raef isn't exactly in the top echelon of NBA centers, but he CAN play center, while Walker really cannot.

I'm still waiting for Scott Layden to be fired so I can become a Knick fan again.

That's a bit of a stretch. The series was tied 1-1 and the Spurs were up by 17 in the 4th Quarter of game 3 when Nowitzki went down.

    Mental note:

I will not take the Pistons lightly like I did last year.

    ;)
