Heres a list of players that have naturalised and have played for the national team of el salvador, and i am wanting your opinion on who contributed the most to salvadoran team:

    Alberto Fay (salvadoran-uruguayan): 1978
    Vladan Vicevic (Salvadoran-Serbio): 1996-1998
    Israel Castro Franco (Salvadoran-Brazilian) : 1996-2000
    Nildeson da Silva (Salvadoran-Brazilian) : 1996-2005
    Arturo Alvarez (Salvadoran-American): 2009-
    Emiliano Pedrozo (Salvadoran-Argentian): 2005
    Williams Enrique Reyes (Salvadoran-Honduran): 2008-
    Carlos Menjívar (Salvadoran-American): 2002-

Thats all i can think of please include others if you know of it :D

Menjivar, Alvarez and Miranda were never actually naturalized. They were born to Salvadoran parents and as a result they didn't need to go through that process. So with that said they really shouldn't be considered along with the rest. But to answer your question i'd go with Vicevic.

Good call, forgot about that one.

Yeah Martin counts cause he was naturalised. It doesn't matter that he lived his whole life in El Salvador; he was born in Nicaragua to Nicaraguan parents but took up Salvadoran citizenship in 2005. So he's a naturalised Nicaraguan-Salvadoran.

Milovan D'Joric who was coaching Aguila at the time brought him in to play for him (in 1996). Then when D'Joric got the national team job (in 1997) he got him naturalised and he went on to play in the 1998 qualifers.

    dont know much about fay
Vicevic "El Bicho" was pretty solid in the back, this is what Purdy would be doing nowdays.

    Castro Franco was crap.

Demello was the Best of all but gran drogo y bolito, he was married to a Salvadorena and has wanakitos with her.

Pedrozo was pretty good, kind like bentos, and he did marry a really good looking canal 4 anchorwomen, you know those beautiful salvadorans.

Reyes is married to a Salvadorena and he is been in El Salvador for more than 10 years, he was good when younger.

Dont know much about Menjivar, i think he was pretty strong i think.

Martins was borned in Nicaragua but was brought to El Salvador when he was 1 or 2 I think.

i believe vladan vicevic contributed the most to el salvador football... great defender for the national team and great coach took aguila to glory in 2006 and took chalatenango to the semis in 2007
I wish he had stayed in the country he could have coached another league team or one of our junior national side:D

He's 28 years old he scored with Municipal Limeno in his last game. He's not a type of player who scores he's like Sanchez does the same job and everything. Though I don't think he plays like he use to anymore because if he did then DLC would have called him back in again. I could never catch any Municipal Limeno games to see how he plays so I really don't know how he plays now.

Crazy how many Salvadoran-Americans have been naturalised since 2009, with the vast majority naturalised since 2021 under Hugo Perez as the coach for both ES U-23 and later the senior team.

    Pablo Punyed
    Richard Menjivar
    Marvin Baumgartner (U-20 & U-21, 2013-2014)
    Alexis Cerritos

    Hugo Perez era (2021- present)
    Edgar Alguera (U-23, 2021)
    Eric Calvillo (2021-)
    Gilbert Fuentes (U-23, 2021)
    Christian Sorto (U-23, 2021)
    Eriq Zavaleta (2021-)
    Joshua Perez (U-23, 2021)
    Walmer Martinez (2021-)
    Amando Moreno (2021-)
    Alex Roldan (2021-)
    Enrico Hernandez (2021-)
    Danny Rios (2021-)
    Alejandro Cano (2021-)
    Brandon Zelaya (2021-)
