The player who doesn’t fit in this team is the fraud Bruno. Joao Neves doesn’t get to play in mdifield anymore because he is blamed for the midifield being shit against Denmark. Vitinha is barely able to even move past the halfway line because he has to accommodate this relegation level fraud

I'm not an active poster on this forum, but I do visit regularly—especially during major tournaments when Portugal is playing. I still remember the unity we had in 2016 when we won our first major trophy. For the most part, club rivalries were put aside and we came together as proud Portuguese.

Now, we’ve just won our third major trophy, and yet there's still so much club trash talk going around. Come on, guys. Be proud. Be Portuguese. Put the club nonsense aside—at least for a moment.

We’ve witnessed something our parents and grandparents only dreamed of, not once, not twice, but three times. Let’s enjoy this moment for what it is!

Ohhh he was only on for 2 minutes and injury time?

My bad I thought he played the 30 mins of ET too. I assumed because I didn't see him touch the ball that he was just a ghost didn't know he came off then somehow came back on for the penalties.

    My bad.

I don't want anyone to kill themselves.

Just must suck for you to be constantly proven wrong to the point you clearly are losing your mind and can't stop talking about Ronaldo and your need for him to be off the team despite all the goals as if pauleta who didn't score was ever demanded to be off the team. Just hilarious anti logic

I don't remember anyone enjoying Pauleta's performances for Portugal, not sure what your point is.

Alright mr facts and logic, you never answered this question:

Player 1: 24 g/a in 1,605 mins. Plays in France. Arguably on best team in the world. 23 years old.
Player 2: 27 g/a in 3,457 mins. Plays in Saudi Arabia. On the 4th best team in that league. 40 years old.

    Who you picking?

I find it so fascinating that people keep saying Ramos doesn't do anything with the chances he's given. What chances? The only one that gets brought up is that half against Morocco, where Ronaldo also came on, played the exact same amount of time, and also did nothing. But that doesn't matter for some reason. Only Ramos performance was enough to justify that he should never play again. And now he played 2 mins + extra time. Sick. What an opportunity.

FYI I noticed you deleted a bunch of posts, get in trouble did we?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we won, but is nations league really a major trophy? I feel like it doesn't really compare to euro or wc, seems odd to put it on the same pedestal imo.

Ahh yes because 32 minutes is a great barometer of how good the player is. Nevermind that he has a proven track record of scoring goals despite limited minutes all season. Nevermind that he became the first player to score a World Cup knockout hat trick since 1990 or that he also became the first player to score a hat-trick in his first World Cup start since Klose in 2002. Let's keep giving 40 year old Ronaldo 90+ minutes every single game.

It's a glorified friendly but we're so used to bottling it on the big stage all the Portugees acting like this is some major silverware. We all know it means fuck all. When it mattered the most of the biggest stage, Ronaldo didn't do much.

    portugals best lineup is this....

    semedo dias veiga mendes
    neves vitinha bernardo
    neto ramos/ronaldo leao

defense: im throwing veiga in there because at the very least he's a physical presence and our squad needs some size.... iniaco viega and silva have all looked shaky at times but i like what veiga brings to the squad at that position.

semedo.... fast, good going forward and is a decent right-back..... better then having our young stud neves playing there.

Midfield: absolutely no reason why our three midgets cant dominate the midfleid in world football the same way spain did in the 2010's all three work hard.... tackle.... elite touch... elite dribblers and above average passers.

bruno: Has his qualities but i think those other three at their position are better options. throw bruno on when we are out of ideas and need a long pass or shot. On top of all that he's too emotional when things arent going his way (you guys know how i feel about bruno) its not personal i just think we should be dominating teams in the midfield and our three midgets can retain and maintain possession better then anyone else (yes i know bernardo had a shit year)

forwards: leao doesn't track back and for that reason I'm taking ronaldo out of our lineup.... you cant have two players that don't work hard at the forward position and on his day leao is a MONSTER and can give any defense on the planet a problem, add in the fact he plays on the same side as mendes and they both seem to have great chemistry together.

ramos/jota: both have decent pace, decent touch, decent finishing but more importantly they have legs and can press and run in between defensive lines to pick up leaos slack in that department. They should be playing 70min and ronaldo 30min, not the other way around.

Ronaldo: use him as a supersub..... i don't mind when he starts for us vs weak comp because we dominate possession and he is still a good 6yard box poacher my only concern is when we play world-class teams ronaldo is ineffective and we basically play a man down. his pace is gone, touch is gone, can no longer dribble and for whatever reason wants to drop back 40 yards to do a pointless one-touch pass backwards just so he can get a touch. LOVE HIM but the sun has set on his time....

neto: strong, fast, aggressive, tracks back and is consistent ill give him the nod over conceicao

Martinez: lucky lucky lucky boy. Im happy we won the nations league don't get me wrong.... but something in my gut tells me we won a battle just to lose a war, hope I'm wrong.... i hope we go to the WC, neves plays rb has on an unbelievable tourney.... ronaldo scores 8 goals and bruno wins player of the tourney and we lift the cup.

Not to mention the fact that Ronaldo turned the ball over at least 5 times during the game. Outside of his goal, he was trash.

Yes I would take Ramos one touch pass over a goal any day of the week to maintain my cognitive dissonance

And what did he do this season maybe he needs to be injured more often so he can score 10 goals and get 13 assists

Didn't you just say Ramos had 3-4 touches which is 3-4 more touches than Ronaldo? So you did watch you just choose what to remember on any given post?

    You guys are brainwashed

Are you forgetting the glorious Skydome Cup in 95? I was there as a kid and thought that would be the last trophy we would ever lift:D

The Copa America is even more of a glorified friendly then. Paying Peru and Canada twice is not a serious competition

It's the biggest competition in the Americas. Nations League isn't.

Give Ramos 88 minutes and maybe we can have a fair conversation. The playing field isn't even. We all know the FPF is Ronaldo's bitch.

So big that Argentina played Canada twice and didn't see a top 15 team at all while winning. Riveting
