It is a small consolation seeing these ESPN FC cucks cry about CR7:D

It's my opinion we'd be better off if we played either a 3-4-2-1 like Sporting/Ruben Amorim or Leverkusen, or a 4-2-3-1

3421 with two 10s in the half spaces, they would play much more narrow in the half spaced (i.e. Bernardo, Bruno, Felix, Leão) and support the striker with 1-2s and runs in the box.

Then have Vitinha/Joao Neves etc run the midfield, and the full backs will provide all the width for the team.

Dude always looks like some tiny gimp on the field when he plays for Portugal. I don't get it. Dude is world class for Man City and a total cuckold for the NT.

    You'd be incorrect.

We have NEVER played well with a lone striker. Not even with Ronaldo (and I am talking about under Queiroz in his prime, and AGAIN point out he was never a lone striker in Euro 2024 qualifying but was isolated at the actual Euro for no good reason) What we need is defenders who don't fall asleep every time we are under an attack early on.

He is not a winger. There, thats it.

Put him in the middle with Vitinha and the other team won't see the ball.

    no more lone strikers lol!
3-4-3 is fine but we need positional players at their strengths…like Mendes/Cancelo, who aren’t to push forward,

midfield with Vitinha/Joao Neves is interesting… but at wing, we lack high iq players. Trincao might do the trick as he’s underrated/versatile, I think he’d be a solid option.

I feel like this team has no identity, boring to watch.

And my problem is the prime players like Bruno/BS who need to show up but I’m never confident with them.

He's played on the wing for the Man City though, hasn't he? Even so, does the explain the massive dropoff in play?

You may want to watch the goal again... Look how many players are free on the back post.

How is it Dias fault? He is a CB, not a LB or midfielder who is supposed to cover the wide players.

There are literally 4 Scottish players surround him in a 4v1.

Also, WTF is the point of calling up Pote, Trincao and Quenda if they get zero minutes.

Martinez is a fuckin coward wasting everyone's time.

I did see multiple players ball watching at the far post. Most of them were playing the trap with the exception of Dias.

He's not going to throw these players straight into the deep end in a tournament.

It's a game that had to be won (or else we would all be criticising the manager/team)

They'll get their chance soon enough.

His subs make no sense once again. Trincão is in good form, but we went with a team with no pace in the 2nd half.

With the "10s" playing narrow and high they play like forwards, it forces us to be creative in the middle. It's different than a system with wide wingers that just cross the ball endlessly to Ronaldo.

lol! Romar “just rely on CR” isn’t good tactically… we couldn’t score in three games, failed to shake things up.

we are f***** with this guy and I wanted AVB.

Imho: You need a playmaker down the middle… I would try FT in the middle cuz he can space out and draw defenders but Joao Neves is the only option, just to put him out there and perform, at his age, is a task.

Right now… the problem is the coach and the prime players who s^^t the bed. (You know who they are!)

We all shit on CR7 but damn, that day he finally decides to retire from the national team will probably be a holiday for national mourning. It's going to be real sad.

Also, Nuno Mendes - what a talent. I think he has the potential to be one of the best of all time at left-back. Guy just turned 22 and is already arguably the best left back in the world. Dude is unreal.

The only way pote can play is if your boy bruno doesnt...just saying

He coulda brought in trincao though instead of playing the second half with zero wingers against croatia.

I dont think he has any dropoff in play. He plays exactly the same way for portugal as he does for city.

He's good but hes always injured

    1. Bruno doesn't need to play 90 minutes. So I'm ok with that.
    2. Bruno plays more of a LM than a LW, so technically he'd replace Joao FAILix, who shouldn't even sniff a call-up or be anywhere near this team to begin with.
He's doing what he was hired and told to do: suck of Mendes with the Gestifute FC trash heap.

Kinda. But the dude even scores headers for City. But I think he's a more useful player in the middle.

Usually, yes, but since he's major thigh injury, he's been healthy and solid.

    Horrific call ups

Araujo has been better than Antonio this season, but antonio is called instead.

Florentino has been very good under new coach, and no callup. Zero callups in his whole career, not even given a shot despite us calling up losers like Danilo and William in recent times.

Where exactly is this benfica bias sportinguista a claim our national team has? Cause I ain’t seeing it

Anyways, in terms of the rest of the call ups, that bum Otavio is for some reason back. And that bum semedo is somehow called over the Lille guy despite semedo playing like a steaming pile of shit in our last game .

With the call up of Samu costa and Florentino never receiving one call up ever, I do now actually believe Mendes plays some sort of role in picking the squad. While i don’t think he has final say, he for sure provides recommendations to our coaches

Now you are starting to sound like some of the Sporting fans. lol Maybe there are other better options in this coaches mind. Maybe its as simple as that. Teams that are playing better, often get more attention.

The bias has more to do with Gestifute than it does with Benfica and more to do with ignoring SCP players entirely because we're not a bunch of a Gestifute gimps with Gestifute ball gags in our mouths.

    Case in point:

Also LOLOL at picking FAILix considering he's played almost no meaningful minutes.

    Gestifute strikes again!

Felix....my god, nobody but Portugal plays him. Expect him to miss a sitter, get stripped easily and to shoot wide.
