It's good to see Pirlo getting called up again. I'd be surprised if he didn't make it to Portugal. He is versatile enough to play multiple positions and in a tournament where players can get hurt or red carded it is essential to have quality backups at every position.
i dunno, pirlo seems to be too slow in his movements and decisions, i dont think he's that good player
I think Pirlo is fast enough. Besides, it's not like Fiore, Perrotta, Zanetti, Gattuso, etc. have blistering speed. His role on Milan requires him to settle things down in the midfield, which may look slow to you. Kaka, Seedorf, and Rui have the role of moving forward. If Pirlo was given a more forward role I'm sure he would look quite different.
