We have no idea at all about these things. Just because Poch hasn't announced anything does NOT mean discreet inquiries have not been made.
Brown played the whole match, seeing oddly little of the ball and getting a yellow, but with an overall positive performance. EF protect their Champions League spot, beating Freiburg 3-1. Chandler DNP.
Tottenham interested in Brown. https://www.yardbarker.com/soccer/a...them_in_the_uel_last_season/s1_15977_42321947
Has been starting at left back for Germany at u-21 UEFA championships. Germany will play England in the final. So this ship has sailed.
yeah, but emotionally it’s over. He’s clearly committed to Germany, and has now made the u21 final. Will clearly bide his time and wait for German senior team. I mean if the senior team hasn’t called him by 2030 World Cup, maybe he’ll give us a call in 2031. But I doubt it.
He was already playing for Germany's U21s when his name first started circulating. Poch won't always be the manager.
It means nothing other that he wanted to play in the UEFA U21 competition. Fabian Johnson once won the same tournament with Germany and switched to the US after the fact.
Good point. There was about a two year gap between Fabian playing for Germany u-21s, and then switching to US senior team. Never called by German senior team in interim. I think Klinnsman played a big part in getting him, being a huge German star and everything. I just don’t think Nat Brown will give up on Germany before 2026. But if not called up by 2028 or 2029, and US offers him a spot, he might take it. I just think Germany will cap tie him before then.
He may very well end up with Germany. I just think it’s premature to say anything is decided or final.
Legit question: Would Fabian Johnson or Jermaine Jones had made the 2014 World Cup squad for Germany if they had not switched? Hard to know. Edit: Of course Germany won that year, so didn't need either of them.
By 2014, Jones would probably not have made the Germany team - he was starting to fade and leaving Schalke, though he still performed admirably for the US. If the World Cup had been in '09, '12, or '13? Maybe, but probably not - he was better '07-09 at Frankfurt. Germany honestly told him he wasn't in the plans at that point, which is when he started talking about playing for the US, meeting with Bob Bradley, and coming to camp.
My question on Jermaine Jones is always imagine if he doesn’t get hurt and he’s on the 2010 team and playing the minutes that went to Ricardo Clark. Cause he committed under Bradley but got hurt prior to the World Cup.
I think that's last year's schedule. These look like the 2025 games in the US: USA (22 July to 3 August) July 26: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Aston Villa July 29: LouCity vs. Eintracht Frankfurt 2 August vs. Philadelphia Union Louisville City’s Lynn Family Stadium to host Aston Villa vs. Eintracht Frankfurt friendly
