nothing is ever guaranteed, even for Jedi. You invite him to join in and see what he can bring to the table.
I wonder if it helps or hurts that he's got Timmy Chandler to talk to. Fabian had a pretty fab youth career with the Germans if I remember right, and JAB turned down the German U-21s for the US full team.
No, none of them played for the US. All 3 were German Americans who were capped by Germany. (Magath's father was Puerto Rican).
Makes sense as to why Magath has never been mentioned as breaking barriers as an American coach. Mattarozzo is the one doing that.
I'm pretty sure Magath's father wasn't in the picture, so there was no real connection to the US or Puerto Rico.
Tillman's father a serviceman from Detroit, his parents separated when he was young. Brown's father also a serviceman from NY.
In at the half: The second half is under way.🔁 There's been one change, with Brown replacing @NielsNkounkou ⏰ 46' | #SGEFCA 0-0 | #SGE pic.twitter.com/ulquehcKJm— Eintracht Frankfurt (@eintracht_eng) December 7, 2024 Up 1-0 in the 60th.
US-eligible left back Nathaniel Brown has been named the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Month for November ✨Brown started in all 3 of Frankfurt’s games in November, scoring in each of his first 2 startsEasily one of the top 5 most important dual-national recruits for the US pic.twitter.com/pOuqHXffaM— USMNT Source (@usmntsource) December 13, 2024
We all know that Bundesliga.com loves to highlight those Americans. Here's a profile: https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bunde...-defender-eintracht-frankfurt-nuremberg-26045
And he scores a beauty off a beautiful feed. Man…. as the commentators have said…. He’s got a little magic in his boots. 3rd goal of the season in only a handful of matches.
Yeah, there doesn't seem to be much reason for him to leave the German set-up right now, assuming that's his first choice.
His German competition is really Maximilian Mittelstädt and David Raum. At lest that’s what I remember…. Good competition but Brown might have the better upside.
We can safely assume that Germany is his first choice -- just like it was for Jermaine, Fabian, Tillman, Brooks, etc. He'll either need to not progress or get impatient (with an offer to maybe appear in the next WC).
Don’t want to make guarantees but we should offer him a spot for March and the Gold Cup, his play has earned it.
We need him to be good, so when he chooses us, we got a strong depth. Building our depth is the next step towards becoming a better national team. Jedi big move in the future is going to mean more games and the potential for him to miss NT camps, all the priority to find a good backup for him.
Started: Weird game. Eintracht defender chips his own keeper (who is not the regular GK & can't figure out what to do with it) & then a Mainz red card. Down 1-0 in the 26th. ETA: The chaos continues as 10-man Mainz scores to lead 2-0.

Named club's POTM: Eintracht fans have decided: Nathaniel Brown = "𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡“! 💥After winning the Bundesliga’s Rookie of the Month award, Nene has now picked up another prize after fending off competition from Uzun, Trapp and Kristensen.
