Nagelsmann called up his Frankfurt teammate Nnamdi Collins in September camp but now he back with the U21s for October. Plenty of young players bounce back between the U21s and senior teams.

"Time to focus on losing out on Luca Koleosho now."

Luca needs to focus on playing. In seven games he has played 38 minutes.

The biggest dual national panic wins are always the ones least celebrated at the time the decision is made.

Pepi chose to play for the USMNT in 2021 and when I put the news out The Site Formerly Known as Twitter, people didn't care that some kid from FC Dallas was getting the call. I got a number of replies saying "how good could he be?" - meanwhile the Dual National Panic rage was on Jordan Pefok, Sebastian Soto, or some other player who is only now barely clinging to a career.

I still think Aidan Morris will be a nice pickup and if he chose Canada, he would be easily on their World Cup team. But he told me that he only wanted to play for the US on the international stage and he knew it was going to be a harder road for him - but he chose that path anyway. I always thought that was admirable.

i dont know about always.....but it is hard to predict how these things go....

me personally, i think brown would be a fantastic addition to the usmnt. i like him as a better fit than jedi for what this team is....i think dest on one wing and brown on the other would cause nightmares for opponents.

jedi is good but hes not quite the style of player of a lot of his teammates...hes more of a wokrhorse than a piano player...which has its advantages i just dont think they are the optimal advantages for this team

If he truly deeply wanted to play for us, he would have considered the opportunity in the Gold Cup with Robinson out, but he decided to play in the U21 Euros.

I think Brown would def play for the USMNT, but unfortunately we'd need a head coach that does a bit more recruiting and a German side that shows him a little less interest.

Got his butt kicked 3-0 by Bayern, and it was never close. 9 defensive contributions, 7/10 on duels, nothing at all in attack. But Bayern are winning every league match by multiple goals, and no one looks like they'll really challenge them, with Dortmund and Leipzig a bit separated from the rest.

Considering that my interest drops to zero if a player isn’t USMNT eligible, may I suggest a title change?

(Don’t) watch me whip, (Don’t) watch me Nene: Nathaniel Brown at Frankfurt

Yea for sure. Nothing against him and he never led the team on with demands and his choice made sense. Probably root for him if I watch any Germany games but the reason I follow players closely is because they are or could be national teamers and now he won't be.

If Götze was in MLS people would claim that shows MLS is a retirement league.

In the effort to simplify this forum, I humbly suggest we remove Mr. Brown from here. He has chosen Germany and to my knowledge has never lived in the USA so he is not "abroad", he is in his home country.

Timmy Chandler also never born or lived here - and he was on a World Cup squad. Same with Fabian Johnson and several others.

The debate was settled years ago. USNT eligibility is not a requirement for this board. If you make your own website, you can set it up that way if you like. We have to deal with people like Nene on here. Them's the rules. I sympathize, because I started on BS back in the stone ages as a USNT follower who just checked YA occasionally to see how our guys were doing for their clubs (the opposite now--I rarely go there). And guys like this irritated me. But someone's willingness to put on one of our NT jerseys is not a requirement on here. And, to be honest, with a daughter who has Colombian, New Zealand, and USA passports, I'd be a bit offended if you didn't consider her a YA if she decided to play for NZ because it was a way to play international footie. My 2 cents.

Just because it invites discussion on something that's settled. It's not open for debate.
